I opened my eyes again, light blinding my eyes. Am I... Dead? My eyes blinked rapidly trying to regain its senses. No, it's just the infirmary... I'm still here? My eyes closed again, I tried to open them but it was like they were being held down by tape. I was about to give up and fall asleep but the door opened. Still, I acted asleep that and my eyes didn't want to open.

"Hey buddy," a deep voice whispered. It was Jason, he's... he's okay. "You need to wake up, please... It's been two weeks since you've been unconscious. You took quite a hit for Will."

I said nothing, even if I could have my voice didn't want to work.

"You know... Will looks like shit, to say the least. He has for the last few weeks. Blames himself you know..." he was quiet for a while, "God, you idiot! What were you thinking? You could have died. Both of you could have... damn it."

If I had let Will die that day... I would have been dead. Even if my heart was beating, I would no longer be alive.

"He barely eats, sleep, does anything really... come on, you both need each other." Silence befell the room once more.

Moments later there was another creak of the door. "Hey Jase, how's he doing?" A fierce voice said, Reyna. "Will's gonna be here in a few, you know how he's like when others are in here while he does his checkup."

"I think he's fine, he hasn't said anything like before." he sighed. "I need him back Reyna."

I felt her shift. "I know but I can't keep sending him energy, I get too exhausted."

"I know, he's like a -"

"Brother to you? Yeah, me too," she said.

"Yeah, we should go, Will's going to be here soon," I felt them walk and the door open.

"Ohh, hey Will..." Jason said wearily.

I could sense Wills frustration from here, but he wasn't frustrated at Jason... it was something else. "What are you doing here?" Will responded sternly, It must be that Reyna already left. Seeing as he only used you instead of you two... moving on:

"We just wanted to-"

"Come to bother Nico?" I could hear the shuffling of clothing, it's likely he crossed his arms or put his hands on his hips. "He's literally dying right now! Can't you spare him a few moments peace? The tests haven't changed... Damn it!" It sounds like, he isn't talking about Jason anymore. "The samples are negative. They're inconclusive... Gods Damn it! What good am I as a doctor if I can't figure this out?!" Will cried. I heard a thump, most likely Will dropping to the ground.

More shuffling, "Will-"

A smack, "Don't touch me!"

"Did you come to rub it in that he's been your friend longer than mine?"

"What no!"

"I'm sure you're thinking something of the sort!"

I couldn't hear any more of this. The things he was saying... Why? Why would he say those things? I forced my eyes open with everything I could. "Sh... shut... shut up." I groaned out. "Jason... he didn't- do any... thing..." I moved my head to the side to see Will stand up. I let out a small snort, "You... you look like shit."

Jason let out a relieved laugh, Will stared at me. His eyes widening, he looked at Jason before shoving him away. "Mandatory checkup."

"More like mandatory make out." Jason laughed, "Ow!" he said as Will smacked him upside the head before shutting the door.

I sat up carefully and looked at my lap as Will was pacing the room...
