Sam POV

The very early morning light was barley making it through the window when I woke up. I knew today was going to be today that we were going to have to dive through everything that we know in order to try and figure out how to reverse whatever curse that the witch used.

I looked over to the pillow next to me and saw that everyone was still sound asleep. Has I tried to move to get out of bed, I saw that Charlotte started to wake up.

"Daddy?" called has she sat up and looked around, causing me to freeze midway to getting out of bed.

"It's okay sweetheart, go back to bed." I whispered, not wanting to wake up Amelia or Mason.

She rubbed her eyes and started to look around her, really starting to wake up. "Oh no." She said has I could see the tears start to well up in her eyes.

"You're going to be fine Char, Daddy is going to take care of this." I said and she looked over to me, but she didn't look scared like she did last time.

"Daddy." She cried and actually ran towards me.

I got on my knees beside the bed so that I wouldn't be towering over her and she ran right up to my face. She hugged the bridge of my nose and didn't want to let go. I used my finger to pat her back, just trying to calm her down because I couldn't imagine what she was going through.

"It's okay, it's going to be okay. I don't want you to be scared because I'm going to make sure that nothing bad happens to you." I whispered.

We stayed like that for awhile, not ever wanting it to end. Mason and Charlotte were everything to me, they were the reasons why I wanted to be the best I could every day. I had the perfect family, the perfect wife, the perfect kids, but they are all suffering because of me and I had to fix that.

"Why don't you go lay back down with Mommy and Mason? Daddy is going to try and make all of this better." I said has I gently pulled my face away, not wanting to scare her but knowing she should stay with Amelia and Mason.

"Daddy no." She said with little tears in her eyes.

"It's okay, I'm just going to the desk. I'm not leaving you, just lay down and close your eyes." I said has I smiled, trying to ease her fear.

She sniffled and rubbed her eyes, partly from being tired and partly wiping away the tears. She had such a mixture between Amelia and I, it was still hard for me to believe that she was even real. It was still crazy to know that I was a father to a one year old daughter.

"What's going on?" Amelia muttered has she sat up and saw Charlotte standing near me.

"It's fine, you guys just get back to sleep. I'm going to be right over here." I smiled and Amelia gave me an understanding nod.

Charlotte slowly walked back over to where Amelia and Mason were laying. She climbed up and I carefully draped the covers back over them. She snuggled into Amelia and fell asleep in Amelia's arms quickly, leaving  only Amelia and I awake.

"You okay?" Amelia asked.

"I'm good, just want to get to work. Are you okay?" I asked.

"I'm better after seeing Char not being so scared." Amelia said and kissed the top of Charlotte's head.

"Are you okay to be over here alone while I start some research?" I whispered.

"Why don't you just lay here and rest a little longer? I know you barley slept last night." Amelia said has she continued to hug Charlotte.
