"Barnes... Steve will be excited to see you," Furry says and motions for us to follow him.
I look up at Bucky.
"You know Steve?" He asks.
"I know everyone," he replies and starts walking back into the ship.
Bucky walks foreword and I walk close behind him, fearing the worst.
Inside the ship is dark.
Darkness like the cell.
There is stable in the ship. Fury takes a seat and Bucky slowly sits down across from him and I do too.
The chair is hard.
And cold.
So cold.
I shiver and Bucky puts an arm around my shoulder.
"D-D-Don't h-hurt is, p-please," I stutter as tears start forming in my eyes.
"It's ok Peter, we can trust him."
I shake my head.
... flash back
Smoke surrounded me. A men in Black walked up to me.
"Hey buddy your coming with us," he says.
"Mom... dad?" I mumbles out.
"They're gone now, but we'll be your new family," I shake my head.
"You can trust us..." he grabbed my hand and pulled me up.
Fear.
I scream.
"WHO ARE YOU!" I yell at the man.
"We are your family. We are HYDRA."
...
"-eter, Peter," Bucky says shaking my shoulder.
My eyes snap to his.
He pulls me into a hug.
Then he has to let go. I still stay close to him.
"I am to help you but first you have to tell me what happened to you two,"
"After I fell off the train I was taken by HYDRA they gave me this medal arm, tortured me and turned me into the Winter Solider for more years than I can remember. Then they put Peter in my cell. They basically did the same thing to him since he was just a little kid. After a while they put us against each other with... with..." he looks down to me.
Memories flood over my mind and I close my eyes. I lean my face into his side as he continues.
"A gun. Whoever killed the other first was the new winter soldier. We escaped and then found you." I slowly look over to the man.
He nods.
"You come with us. You can live at the tower. Heck, you could join the Avengers, Barnes," he states.
"Avengers?" I question in a quoted voice.
I think I heard them talking about that. "I heard the men talking about them." I stare in an even quieter voice.
"A group of the worlds mightiest super heros."  He says. Buckys eyes widen slightly.
...
"We will be landing any minute." Someone says.
I look up at Bucky and he has a faint smile in his face.
Bucky nods at me.
"You are going to meet Steve," I smile slightly.
After stories and stories.
Promise after promise.
It is happening.
I am meeting Steve.
The ship shakes as we hit the ground.
We are here. Bucky quickly stands up.
I quickly follow him.
The door opens.
Light floods through the plane and eats the darkness away.
"Ready,"
"Ready." I state.
We step out of the ship.
I can't help but gasp.
A large white structure looms above us glistening in the sun.
Bucky grabs my hand and starts to walk forward following Fury.
He opens the doors.
"Hello Fury, 2 unknown figures," the walls say.
I jump.
"That's Jarvis. I'll have Stark explain later. They're with me." He yells is then addressed the wall.
Stark?
What's that?
There huge windows and shiny floors.
We walk into a smaller door revealing a small room.
Then it starts to move.
I cling to Bucky.
He looks around, his eyes still wide.
Fury seems to be taking in everything I do and say.
Soon the doors open.
In side is huge room.
On one wall is a huge screen surrounded by fluffy chairs. One of the chair looks like five put together.
Behind him is a large counter and table.
Then I hear footsteps.
Click.
Clack.
Click.
Clack.
"It's ok Peter," Bucky says.
I move closer to him.
Fear.
"What's up Fury?"
A tall and strong man with blonde hair walks in.
Bucky gasps.
"Steve." I say. Steve snaps his head towards me and then to Bucky.
His eyes widen.
"Bucky?" He runs forward and hugs Bucky.
I smile a little and take a small step away.
"Hello Steve," Bucky says. His eyes are watering with tears.
Bucky is happy.
Steve takes a step away from him and just stares, eyes stills wide.
"How?"
I move slightly closer to Bucky again and I notice Fury slipping away.
For the first time in my life I feel...
Safe?
No.
But almost. I don't think I'll ever feel 'safe' again.
My past will alway haunt me.
But this might be as close as I get to it.
But for now it's nice.

I finally met Steve.
