Forget Me Not

   Mai stayed in the hospital for a month before she was released to Louis.

   The doctor put her on bed rest for the next 4 months until her baby is around 24 weeks, that is the earliest you can give birth to a child and it having a chance of survival. This pregnancy especially is at a extremely high risk because when Mai got into the accident it caused trauma to the uterus causing the placenta to seperate from the uterus also known as placental abruption.

   Mai had no choice but to let Louis take care of her. She couldnt do anything except get up to go to the bathroom and even that was dangerous.

   Louis cooked for her and cleaned. This put alot of stress on him, having to juggle maintaining his multi million dollar business and caring to his Wifes every need on top of worrying about the baby.

   He began confiding in Valerie once more and started inviting her over late at night/early mornings when he though Mai was asleep when in reality Mai never slept she felt trapped and worthless.

   Every night Mai heard EVERYTHING. She tried to make herself believe she didn't care, but she did care and hearing her husband that she loved with all her heart betraying her by making love with some other women when she was carrying his child broke her more and more each day.

   All she wanted was for him to be with her holding her hand and watching funny movies together.

   Of course she would never tell him that, she had to force herself to act like she didn't give a shìt about him anymore. He doesn't deserve her anymore.

   One night in particular she had fallen asleep and woke up to Louie and the home wrecker outside her bedroom door whispering to each other

   "Valerie you have the sëxiest äss I have even seen."

   "Ouu baby and you hav-" Valerie was interrupted by Mai's bedroom door flying open and hitting her right in the face.

   Mai storms out of the room in her robe and fuzzy socks, hunched over and clutching her stomach.

  "Woah baby what are you doing you need to be in bed, you can't do that you will lose that baby!" Louis shouts at her whilst trying to hide Valerie behind him.

   "Honestly Louis it doesn't seem like you actually care about me or my baby!"

"How could you say that?! I do fücking care!"

"How could you offer to take care of me and promise not to cheat ever again and convince me to stay with you and then turn around and do the complete opposite while I'm in the house and can hear you guys all night long every night! It's like your trying to torture me! What did I do to you!"

   Louis remained silent until he turned to Valerie and said "get the fuck out of my house. Come to my office again without a real issue then your fired and I'll make sure you won't be able to find a job anywhere ever again. Lose my number." In a disappointed voice. You can tell he really didn't want to say that but he felt so guilty about what he was doing to Mai that he had to give it up.

"No forget it Louis I'm going back to Singapore and staying with my Mom after I have this baby, you can stay with her I dont give a fück anymore, it's over!" She took her ring off and threw it ar Louis and walked back to her bedroom. Before closing the door she turns and looks at Valerie and says "Stupid bitćh I hope your happy." Then went back into her room locking the door behind her.

   Louis just stood there in silence he was speechless. He didn't know what was wrong with him, he ruined her and their relationship.

  He walked away from Valerie without saying a word and went into his room.

Valerie took it upon herself to retire for the night on the living room couch.

                 *The next morning*

   Louis woke up to make breakfast for him and Mai like he did every morning and noticed Valerie laying full nude on the couch.

  "What the hell are you doing here?!"

   "I thought you would like to see me in the morning after what happened last night, to relieve some stress."

   "No! Why would you think that?! Get out of my house I ment what I said last, I dont want to see you again!"

"But baby she said we can be together."

"Are you delusional?! Get out before I call the police!"

Valerie's eyes began to tear up "fine." She grabbed her clothes, got dressed and left.
