The Purge

1. Be Safe

"Hey," I said sitting down in a cafe at a table with my friends, Brionna and Markus.

"Hey," Brionna smiled.

"Are you purging tonight?" asked Markus randomly.

"No I don't like it," Brionna says scowling.

"what about you?" Markus asks me.

"I'm staying in," I lie just like I do every year. I find the Purge fun.

"You're such a goodie goodie," Brionna said nudging me. I shrugged and took a sip of my drink.

"Me too I'd rather not die tonight," he said taking a sip of his drink.

"Anyway did you hear? 5 Seconds of Summer is in town," Brionna smirked.

"Do you think they'll purge? I asked.

"Nah," Markus said.

"I might purge just for that," Brionna said winking.

"No, promise me you won't purge," I said holding out my pinkie.

"I promise," she groaned linking pinkies with me.

"I don't want anything to happen to you," I smile. Kind of true but untrue at the same time. I don't want her seeing me out there.

"And no one cares about me," Markus said leaning back in his chair.

"I don't want anything to happen to you either," I said grinning.

"Hey why don't we all stay at one house?" asked Brionna.

"Yeah!" Markus agrees.

"I can't," I shrugged.

"Why not?"

"I've made plans already with some other friends," I smile.

"Who?" Brionna asked.

-Flashback-

"Hey you!" yelled a man behind me. I turned around and was met by a pair of chocolate brown eyes. The guy had a ski mask in that covered most of his face except for his eyes and half of his nose. He had dark hair that was swept to the side.

"Uh hi," I say awkwardly.

"Hi," he says muffled by the mask. We both stand there for a second until I spoke up.

"You wanted something," I gestured.

"Uh yeah you dropped this," he said pulling out my phone.

"Oh my god thank you!" I said taking it.

"You didn't actually drop it," he shrugged.

"Then how did you get my phone?" I asked.

"I stole it," he said casually and shrugged. I dramatically gasped.

"The purge hasn't started yet has it?" I asked looking around.

"No," he laughed.

"I know I was just kidding," I laughed along.

"So can I ask you something?"

"Whats up?" I asked rocking back and for on my heels.

"Uhh this may sound weird but um do you want to come Purging with me and three lads tomorrow?" he asked scratching the back of his neck.

"What are you talking about," I said nervously.

"Oh come on I know you Purge. I saw you last year," he explained. I thought for a while.

"Yeah why not? I usually do it alone so it'll be nice to have some company," I replied shrugging.

"Great here's my number text me your address and we'll meet you there," his eyes developed crinkles next to them. I'm guessing he's smiling.

"Oh and bring some stuff to share," he winked.

"Yeah no problem see you tomorrow," I smiled and walked off.

-End Of Flashback-

"Oh my god come on let's get home before we die!" yelled Markus checking his watch and pushing us all through the door of the café.

"And for the record I know exactly what you're doing tonight," Markus whispered in my ear. My heart skipped a beat and I checked my phone.

We'll be there in a white van in 5 minutes

-Ski Mask

I ran to my car.

"I'm late I have to go!" I yelled driving off.

"Be safe!" I called.

"You too!" Brionna called back and Markus waved. I drove back to my tiny apartment and parked in one the garages. I ran inside and hid all of my valuable things incase someone broke in. I quickly locked them up and made my apartment look as plane as possible.
