"Sister?" Jongin sighed as he opened the door, revealing the person I certainly didn't want to see.
Taeyeon.
She looked different to how I last saw her, her hair was a light shade of brown and she wore a short black dress that was so simple it seemed humane. She didn't have all of the elegant jewellery or makeup on as she did last time, just blood red lips.
She looked straight at me, and I tried not to sink behind Chanyeol. "Well, well, this is an interesting situation."
She walked straight through the doorway, Jongin bowing his head at her, as did Sehun and Chanyeol. They respected her, in a sense that scared me. What kind of power did she possess?
Jungkook froze, eyes slightly wide. "Sister."
She turned to look at him slowly, her high heels clicking against the wooden foyer floor. "Hello, youngling."
There was a slight breeze, and two more figures appeared in front of me as Jongin shut the door. Baekhyun and Jongdae. I blinked in confusion, but watched as the pair bowed their heads.
Taeyeon's eyes flashed as she looked at Baekhyun and his own held something I couldn't quite decipher. She grinned, evil and unyielding, "good to see you, Baekhyun."
He inclined his head, "you too, Taeyeon."
He was the only one that called her by her name. I didn't dare question it, not with Jungkook and Taeyeon here, in the one place I felt even the slightest bit safe.
Taeyeon gave a charming smile to Sehun, who returned her smile with a small one his own. "How are you, little brother?"
I tilted my head to the side, trying to understand everything as Sehun replied, "fine. Have you spoke to mother?"
So they shared the same mother? Wasn't Sehun's mother... Lilith? I raked my brain in what Jongin told me about them all.
Taeyeon hummed, "not much, she asked how you and Junmyeon have been. She'll be coming to visit soon, from what I heard, with Krystal," a subtle glance in Jongin's direction, but he didn't bat an eyelash.
Ah! That's right. Junmyeon and Sehun shared Lilith as a mother, that means that Taeyeon shared the same mother as them too from the sounds of it.
"Krystal is still with her?" Sehun questioned.
Jongin's lips tightened slightly as Taeyeon replied, "yes. The debt has not yet been paid."
I was so confused, but I didn't realise or notice that I had slowly been inching closer to Chanyeol, so close that my body was practically pressed up against his back as I peeked over his shoulder. His hand had reached behind, cornering me behind himself, in case Taeyeon decided she didn't particular care for her father's rules and wanted me broken.
However, it was Jongin that Chanyeol was looking at cautiously. Jongin's eyes had turned a solid onyx, and his face had become devoid of emotion and colour.
Baekhyun was glancing sidelong at Yixing, then back towards me, as if they were making some mental notes. Sehun had placed himself subtly between Jongin and Chanyeol, as if to turn the former's attention away from me.
Taeyeon was grinning from ear to ear, eyes full of eternal torment. "Don't like me mentioning your girlfriend?"
A snarl rippled from Jongin, one that had my spine locking up and I instinctively gripped the back of Chanyeol's blazer.
"Taeyeon..." Baekhyun warned, eyeing everyone that had gathered in the foyer.
Taeyeon blandly stared at him, then turned to her youngest brother and extended her hand out to him. Jungkook wisely obeyed her silent order, moving forward and grasping his hand in hers. He may be taller, but Taeyeon was ten times more intimidating.
"Jongin-" Sehun began, but Jongin already began speaking.
"You tell Lilith she's not welcome here." His voice reverberated in on itself, doubling back over, deepening in pitch and tone, making my entire body freeze in fear.
"Tell her yourself." Taeyeon retorted, pulling Jungkook to the exit, leaving her brothers behind. She gave a final wink in Jongin's direction before teleporting.
"Bitch." Chanyeol hissed, hand still reached behind to shield me.
Baekhyun glanced sharply at Chanyeol, but said nothing. I realised then, the family drama in this family was more complicated than I ever realised, or understood.
Yixing reached to Jongin, who was staring at nothing. "She's gone, brother."
Jongin said nothing as he turned and walked towards the kitchen, Sehun trailing behind him, the only one who could probably calm him and the storm raging within him.
Yixing looked at me and noticed the dry blood at my neck from Jungkook's nails. "Are you alright?"
I nodded slightly, still subconsciously hiding behind Chanyeol as my heart refused to slow its pace. I blinked, an ache running up my spine and a headache already beginning to form at my temple.
"I'm... tired." I lied, moving away from the three demons who continued watching me, as I made my way up the stairs.
Was other demons going to come after me now due to my link to Satan? Would I be used as a pawn? As a hostage? As a way to get at the demon brothers?
