Breakfast the next morning was busy, as everybody was home and at the dining table; Baekhyun had come and retrieved me to eat with them before they all headed out to wherever they go to torment poor souls.

I sat in my usual seat, between Kyungsoo, and Yixing; who's gold flecked eyes constantly caught my own eye as I was still fascinated by the colouring. I'd glanced at Jongin occasionally, whom seemed to forget about his near outbursts yesterday towards Taeyeon, and was in his usual mood.

"After contacting Namjoon to tell him to keep a closer eye on Jungkook, it appears the children of Eve also want to come and investigate Lina." Junmyeon spoke, clasping his hands together in front of him as he communed with Minseok, who cast a mildly irritated glance down at his plate.

I blinked, hearing the mention of my name. "The children of Eve?"

I saw Jongdae grin slightly at me, "Satan didn't just tempt Eve with the forbidden fruit. He tempted her with other things too."

Once it clicked in my mind, I scowled. "So these children of Eve are Satan's children too?"

Multiple nods confirmed my theory, and I mentally thought about what they must look or seem like. Eve was created to be good, to be a better version of what Lilith was designed to be, to please Adam and not question anything. It seems like she wasn't as innocent as she was made to be.

I zoned back in as I heard Minseok speak. "Tell the pair of them to keep themselves away from the house."

I quietly ate my pancakes, listening as Chanyeol chimed in. "After the stunt Jungkook pulled yesterday, if I see any of the Seven Sins sniffing around here they'll find themselves without their eyes."

"Namjoon will clamp down on them." Junmyeon assured, glancing between his brothers, and then looking at me. "Lina. Please refrain from answering the door when none of us are home."

I nodded, "I think I learned my lesson."

"Jungkook is still testy and young," Minseok spoke to nobody in particular, "he needs to learn his place."

Something Chanyeol said earlier had suddenly snagged in my mind. "The Seven Sins? Are they actual Demons?"

Baekhyun nodded, deigning himself to answer. "They're seven demons that rule over the Seven Circles of Hell, a ruler per circle. Both of Eve's children rule a circle of Hell. The Seven of them are closely bonded, like the nine of us are."

I looked at all the brothers, who glanced at Baekhyun and then back to their plates of food. I noted the movement, the silent and barely noticeable gesture between the nine of them. Brothers, but deeper than that.

"I didn't like Jungkook," I muttered, cringing at my plate as I remembered the nasty bruise on my spine I'd spotted this morning.

Jongdae snorted, "I'm not surprised."

"He'll be dealt with." Chanyeol reassured me as I looked at my outfit for the day.

I was wearing a tight, body-con ribbed black dress that came down to my mid thighs, enunciating my curves I'd gained back. It had a turtle neck, and long sleeves, classy yet casual. I wore high chunky heeled, platform ankle boots, that added quite a few inches to my height.

I was going out today, I'd been informed, by Kyungsoo and Minseok, much to the latter's everlasting annoyance. They were going into the heart of the crumbled city I'd seen when I'd opened the door, and to do a security sweep. Boring and non important, they'd stated, which is why Junmyeon told them to allow me to go out and view Hell, if I wished.

I only agreed as I was still nervous to be left on my own in the house, even if I had to open the door to let somebody inside. Even if this meant spending part of the day with Minseok, who didn't care for humans, and Kyungsoo, who'd barely uttered a word since I'd been here. Great company.
