I was tired, but not tired enough to succumb to the tempting offer of sleep. Not whilst nine Demons lurked in this house. I knew I had to sleep at some point, but for the mean time I'll stay awake.
I was leaning against the bottom of the bed, my ass sore from sitting on the floor all night. I'd moved only to go to the toilet, then returned back to my position. I was too scared to sleep anyway, my mind was telling me to stay awake, I shouldn't fall asleep in these lands.
The knock on my door made me jolt upright, my hands tightening into fists.
"Breakfast!" Called a fake cheery voice, the irritating voice of Jongdae. I tried not to hiss.
I didn't respond and he didn't seem to care whether I ate or not as he didn't bother me again. After a few minutes I went downstairs however as the thought of the food from the night before convinced me as it was so delicious. I looked behind every few seconds in case any Demon was following me.
Only three of them were in the dining room. Jongdae, Minseok and Kyungsoo. I sat in a lonely seat, no Demons flanking me yet Kyungsoo sat opposite me.
Jongdae snorted, "you look absolutely disgusting. You haven't washed, changed or even bothered to sleep. What a mess."
I ignored him, I just looked down to my meal which was cereal, a range of different fruits on the side. I almost squealed when I saw the glass of chocolate milk, my absolute favourite. I didn't want to know how they all knew my favourite things, I just downed the drink within seconds.
Kyungsoo subtly waved his hand and the glass was instantly refilled, a bottle appearing beside it for me to fill it myself next time. I didn't bother saying thank you, none of them deserved one when they'd kidnapped me in the first place.
"Where is everyone?" I dared ask, only as the silence was nearly drowning me.
Minseok looked up, his cold eyes staring into mine. "They're fulfilling their own duties, as the rest of us will be after breakfast."
I tried not to squirm. "Would that mean I'd be alone?"
Minseok nodded and I sighed in relief, not bothering to hide it. Jongdae snickered and I flashed him a glare, he only flashed his coal eyes and elongated canines at me in return. That shut me up.
Once breakfast was over, I stood at the top of the stairs as they all left, teleporting together. They didn't bother to say goodbye, only Jongdae gave me a wink before passing between the air and wind.
I felt, more than heard, the quiet emptiness of the house. I knew I was alone, so I ventured back to my room, shutting the door and pushing an armchair in front of it, like that'd stop a Demon anyway.
I ran a bath in my own personal bathroom that connected to my bedroom, the bath too big for my small body as I slithered into it. I relaxed, letting out a deep breath. If they'd be gone all day, maybe I could figure some things out for myself. Like clothes, perhaps even some sleep.
Once drying myself, I kept the towel wrapped around me as I curiously opened my built in wardrobe, sliding the doors open. There was a range of clothes neatly hanging up inside, too many shoes sat at the bottom. I recognised none of the clothes as my own and groaned. I had to wear their Demon clothes they'd provided for me.
As I looked through them, I noticed the right side of the wardrobe held more formal clothes, the left side was more casual clothes. There were mainly sweaters, hoodies, jumpers and oversized t-shirts hanging up. I grabbed a pale blue coloured jumper, the bagginess comforting me. I sorted through my drawers, jeans and leggings were arranged nicely. I picked out a pair of leggings. All the clothes fit perfectly, to my surprise.
