I spent the whole day sulking in my 'new room' which was unexpectedly colourful and bright, at least it wasn't a torture chamber. The nine brothers had all knocked to try and speak to me, how respectful, and I'd told each one of them to go fuck themselves.
My sulking was reasonable. I was still processing... everything. Nothing made sense, nothing felt right. Even being here just felt so so wrong, I want to rip my skin off.
The house I was sharing with the Demons wasn't that bad. It was modern, large and comfortable. A sense of warmth filtered the rooms, surrounding me wherever I went. I looked out the windows and all I saw was a normal looking street, cars whizzing past and people idly walking by, which was definitely odd.
I hadn't eaten all day, refused to even change into the clothes they provided for me. I'd stayed in my pyjamas, the only comfort from home I had. I didn't even sit on my ridiculously soft bed, I opted for the white carpeted floor. I stared at the door, watching in case any of them decided to walk in.
They were... powerful. They were ancient, scary beings. I was terrified, so horrified of it all... of them, that I'd thrown up thrice now. The first time on Baekhyun, much to my pleasure and his annoyance. I felt understandably ill, as if I was physically unwell, yet I knew it was shock that was causing this reaction from me.
I leashed my fright now, not wanting to give them the satisfaction of it. I wouldn't yield, not to them, not to any damn Demon. They had such a toll on me, such a negative feeling that I couldn't even stand the thought of actually meeting Satan without feeling nauseated.
Somebody knocked the door and I jumped, I didn't even hear their footsteps. "Fuck off!" I screamed, alerting whoever was there that I really didn't want to be disturbed.
There was no response. Then, "you haven't eaten, come for some dinner."
That voice showed no concern, no worry at all that and I scoffed, if they're going to pretend to care then they need to play the part. I recognised the voice, but couldn't put it to a name or face as I had desperately tried not to think about the nine Demons walking around the house.
"No! I won't eat your food!" I yelled, not wanting to know what they'd even made me. They'd probably just give me a human leg of some sort, I gagged, trying to rid the thought from my mind.
"I will use force and you will not like it, girl, I promise you." That demonic voice was snapped in place and I shivered, almost pissing myself from fright right there and then.
Just endure it, I told myself. There'll be a way out of this, a loophole. I was sure if it. So I took a long breath, standing up and stretching my aching legs. I didn't want the Demon to force me out, that would probably be more traumatising.
So I slowly opened the door, a vase I had picked up in my free hand and behind my back, in case he tried any funny business. The Demon was the one I recognised as Jongin, the one I'd slammed my body into in that pitch black room and who had grabbed me and plummeted us through the floor.
He grinned, an emotionless smile that promised torment and death. His eyes weren't the black I saw before, they were human this time, a dangerous shade of brown. I scowled, moving slowly to exit my room. He took lead, not spotting the vase I continued to clutch onto.
"Do you plan on using the vase, or are you just going to hold it all night?" Damn, so he did notice. I didn't make a noise, nor make a move to get rid of the vase.
He clicked his tongue as he said, "so stubborn."
Once entering the dining room, my jaw clenched at the other eight Demons seated at the table. Their eyes were all trained on me, watching, assessing. I gulped, Jongin moving to take a seat. I noticed all of their eyes were also human, orbs and the whites of their eyes visible, they all honed very similar dark eyes.
