Characteristics:
Sarcastic, loud, very much a smart-ass. She speaks what's on her mind with little filter, rarely thinks before she speaks or acts. Stubborn to a fault, she's very charismatic, light-hearted, always cracking jokes. She's fiercely loyal to Requiem and her friends, but there is an inherent sadness about her. She's snarky and fun-loving, but tends to wear her heart on her sleeve.
Because of her upbringing, she tends to keep most everyone at arm's length, but once she considers you part of her inner circle/family, she is fiercely loyal, more than willing to give up her own life for those she loves.
A Brief History:
Born to a half-human, half-fairy mother and an elven father, Ethereal was given up at birth in a desperate attempt to keep her safe from the fey. In the fey world, the species are not allowed to intermingle, and any children born to such unsanctioned relationships are immediately executed. As a halfling-fey, she ages much slower than other humans, but faster than the fey or lycanthropes. Because of her fey heritage, she is able to control the elements. In addition, all other supernatural entities tend to be drawn to her like a moth to a flame.
Ethereal grew up in a series of foster homes, ending up in boarding school at the age of seven. She finished out her studies at the top of her class, but she was not content to stay in one place. She spent more than a decade of her life wandering around the country, taking on odd jobs to keep herself fed and clothed. Naturally curious, she tended to take on jobs which no one else wanted. Living frugally she was able to save up a tidy sum, but she had no real drive and no real purpose to her life. She was happy just being a nomad for a while, but after more than a decade her restlessness became less about the scenery around her and more about her inability to really connect with any one person. She longed for a family, a real home with people who loved and cared about her.
She eventually made her way to Shadow Cove where she met Requiem. He immediately took her under his protection as part of his household, offering her a job at The Red Fang, a bar for the supernatural entities of the town. She immediately took to the life of a bar maid, forging friendships with the locals. Feeling as if she were finally home, she settled down in Shadow Cove, continuing to work for Requiem where she would eventually become the general manager of his establishment.
