"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!" A voice of a man thundered. A bulk of Queen's guards came rushing in toward the woman.
"Right timing, boys!" she hissed.
The guards don't usually carry live ammo around. Not unless there was an extreme threat level. But as they barged in and saw the lady, they turned pale.
"Fire!" A man shouted. Three shots rang across the whole central lobby. Throwing Tyler and his friends in a ducking position. The woman effortlessly blocked it with an invisible force field. Then her nails grew longer. The guards flinched and reloaded. "Fire!" The guard screeched again, but it was useless.
-
"Anyone knows how to stop her?!" Tyler asked furiously.
"I know her. We can't beat her. We don't stand a chance against her." Hannah concluded under her breath. "I never knew I could meet her. Laries Lattimer."
"Laries what?" Amber asked furiously.
"No time. Amber, I'll distract her. Keep the key with you no matter what and go outside to Pothos. We need to get out of here as soon as possible!" Hannah ordered.
Amber hesitated. "What?! Can't you see how that lady is insanely throwing away stuff at those guards?"
"You have your wand with you! Use The Shield of Light!" She growled. "No time! Just do it!"
Amber stared at her with a steady face before standing. He tucked the key inside his pocket, gripped the base of his wand, and charged toward the door.
Laries, the insane witch with insanely overgrown talons, eyed him with so much resentment and her expression was blood lust.
"Where are you going, twerp?!" she growled. "Aahhh. I know you. I heard your dad died because of a goddess. How sad is that, eh?"
A gunshot rang across the place again and hit her forehead. She was interrupted and was sent to the ground like a skeleton doll figure. The guards distanced themselves a little closer to Laries to check if she was still alive or not. Suddenly, they all went flying across the room as Laries exploded in pure rage.
Amber looked back. He staggered, and his mood changed. Bringing up his family was the worst thing you could do to piss him off.
Laries brought out her wand and called out a spell that drained everyone's energy. Including his.
Amber fell to the ground, his feet like melted chocolate.
Loftus... she cursed heavily under her breath ...Profest!
Multiple pitch-black souls of different horrifying shadowy figures escaped her wand. Every shadow was insanely horrendous looking and was searching for a body to infiltrate. Every guard in the room was occupied by the dark souls, including those who are standing around with their ammo. The souls consumed them like an empty jar.
"That's one of the seven deadly curses of sins. The curse of Lust." Hannah said.
The last shadow hurled its way toward Amber. He panicked, but a scrape of adrenaline made him remember the spell that was taught to them in times of serious life threat and danger.
Amber swung his wand and chanted at the top of his lungs. "Lus Ob-hexus!"
A bright shield of light immediately covered Amber. The foul shadow vanished in thin air with an explosion of black dust and bats.
"Lovely!!! A shield of light, huh?!" Laries hissed sarcastically. "I'm afraid you won't last long hiding behind that shield."
Amber felt like that his body was tosed in heated pan that his body felt like swimming in boiling oil.. He stood and realised that he was indeed on fire. The shield wore-off and he staggered and stumbled around, putting off the fire in his clothes. A glimpse of corpse queen's guards was fast approaching him. He panicked. So he ran and tried to shield himself with Lus Ob-hexus and extinguished himself with fire extinguishing spells while bolting out to the door as fast as he could. "Flamarae Phiszma!" he fired.
