The first thing Tyler had in his mind was I failed.
Since the first time he had his dream, he never thought it would be possible for a loser like him to save the world from the impending doom caused by a dark wizard named Dwergloud.
His life before was a mess. He wanted adventure and go out and unleash his inner talents and skills. But, never in his wildest dreams that he would hope for an experience like this.
Knowing that his dad was a Greek god of Love was already hard enough for him to digest. But a life that he once called boring was the last thing he would want to have for a while before he dies.
"I'm sorry, mum. I'm sorry, dad. I failed." He thought. A tear trickled down his face.
His knees wobbled and felt like a melting gold bar. He fell, but the hooded wizards caught him in the arms. Tyler did his best to talk with them and please them to side with the gods.
"You have the last chance to help me and stand together with us and defeat him." His voice faltered. "I know you were forced to work with him. But I can help you."
The wizard on his left changed expressions. Poker face, then pitying, then mad.
"Shut up, or I will break your neck." He warned, tightening the grip around his arms even more.
"I promise you a better place in Strifwick," The hooded wizard's expression hardened.
"Shut up!" He gripped harder, and Tyler squealed in pain. He thought his power of charm persuasion has faltered along with his strength. So he dropped and accepted his defeat instead.
"I'm really sorry, mum, dad. I miss you, and I love you. Forgive me."

"Hannah," Dwergloud offered his hand.
Hannah shot Tyler a pained look in the eye. She came to Dwergloud and offered the key.
"Please do the honour." He told her instead.
Hannah's expression was unreadable. She gazed to Tyler, to Fergus, then back to Dwergloud.
"W-What do you mean?" She asked shakily.
Dwergloud did not answer. He moved his wand, finally placing Fergus on the white, polished marble table. And whispered something under his breath. Jet black beads floated in the air, and slowly, they scattered themselves across the table. Black lines came out like a plant stem, slithering its way all-around Fergus' frozen body. He wailed and struggled because the magic was too much for him to handle. Tyler couldn't scream anymore. The scene alone had drained his remaining energy.
"Use the key to pierce Gryphon's heart and let its blood drain and let it spill to my cup, and I shall drink." He explained, "Prove me your loyalty, and I shall reward you your memories. Now, do the honour, daughter." He moved back slowly, giving Hannah the centre stage.
"No!" Amber exclaimed. The grip around his neck by his cousin was tight, but he managed to call. "Hannah,"
"Shut up!" Kingsley ordered.
The air around them became tighter and more suffocating. Tears trickled down Hannah's face as she slowly paved her way to Fergus' strangled body. Upon seeing her face, Fergus understood that she will help him escape. But, to her regret, she couldn't meet his eyes. The key in the shape of a knife grew warmer around her hands. It glowed faintly and clearly wasn't made to kill the poor Gryphon for the Dark Lord's sake.
"Do it." Dwergloud waited behind her.
Hannah tensed. Her tears stopped, and she gazed in Tyler's direction, head draped. If this is the end, then I'll use all of my reserved powers now. Everything. For my friends' sake.
