'You look tired.'
Sideswipe wrapped his arms around me and hugged me. 'I feel fine,' I stated and smiled up to him. 'Liar.' He poked my nose before sitting down on his bed. 'You smell.' I gave him a look. 'I am not telling you either you smell,' I snorted. 'Because I don't smell,' he said in a matter of fact tone. 'Liar.' He rolled his eyes. 'Have you been working out?' He asked. He sat up, 'that will explain why you're sore,' he added. 'Even if I did, would you mind?' I asked. 'No, just a little concerned about your schedule,' he replied and got up.
He turned to grab a few things. 'You're oddly quiet, does it mean I am right?' He asked without looking. 'Little bit.' He snorted. 'I am not stupid, you know that right?' He asked as he turned again. 'I have seen human males trying to follow a strict training to look just like me, didn't really end well they were sore and stiff and couldn't perform combat anymore. They were sent home to recover,' he said and crossed his arms. 'You're sore too.'
'Really? It was that bad?' I asked. He hummed. 'Human males make often a misconception. Especially the rookies that have no experience with training at all,' he said. 'You're calling me a rookie?' He shrugged and sat beside me. 'I think you are,' he mumbled and kissed my cheek. 'Just be careful and take rest,' he said before leaving. I snorted and tapped with my hand on the chair before getting up. The shower helped my sore muscles relax a little bit. Perhaps Mr. Prankster is right.
The next day, I was watching Sideswipe from the main hanger. He's having these annoying, stubborn and 'I know everything better' moods again. I don't know why, but sometimes he has these moods and it's really irritating. Not only for me, but for everyone while the next day, he's his sweet loving self again. I started to think he just doesn't like it when he's told what to do.
Sideswipe crossed his arms and looked away. I snorted and got up. I can't watch this anymore. I headed for the gym and did some work outs. Maybe not the best idea I had. My muscles were aching badly by the end of the hour. I sat down for a moment, drinking. Perhaps I should have listened to Sideswipe when he said I had to take it easy. In my opinion, I hadn't done a lot of intense training but my muscles thought otherwise.
I showered after I got back and laid down on Sideswipe's bed, watching a movie on his laptop. I paused the movie when he walked in. 'There you are,' he said and smiled a little. 'You're having a stubborn mood,' I said. He snorted and kicked his shoes aside before laying next to me. 'What are we watching?' He asked. 'James Bond, No time to die,' I said. He curled up against my back and watched the movie with me. Not a surprise. Whenever he can watch a movie with me, he will. As long as it isn't romance. Honestly, I don't like romance either.
When the movie finished, the mech rolled on his back. 'Shall we go somewhere?' He asked. I wanted to say yes, but I was so tired. 'Uh, like now?' I asked. He nodded but looked at me as he got no reaction. 'No?'
'I am just tired, but you can go,' I said. 'You're tired again?' He sighed. 'Again?' I mocked. He rolled his eyes and slid out of bed. 'I am going,' he said and marched over to the door. 'You're mad at me?' I got up as well. 'Not mad, just disappointed,' he said and left.
I blinked. That's unlike Sideswipe. I walked through the halls, getting a snack. 'Hey, Skylar?' I sighed. 'Yes, Harvey?' I muttered and turned, earning a punch in my stomach. So hard I collapsed on the floor and gasped for air. Harvey laughed and walked. 'Idiot,' I scowled as I hoisted myself up and sat down.
I caught up with Sideswipe later. He seemed to be in a better mood. Luckily, because I am not in the mood to deal with his other side. We had dinner together and after that I wanted to sleep. I know Sideswipe won't go to sleep for another three hours but he promised to be quiet. I was so tired, I won't even notice it if he gives a party.
Sideswipe watched me struggle to crawl in bed. Bunkbeds and muscles aches can't get along with each other. I collapsed on the ground. 'You have no strength in your muscles anymore. You're overtraining and that's bad,' he said, helping me up. 'I am not overtraining,' I mocked. 'No?' He asked. I shook my head. He snorted and helped me get in bed. 'We need to talk about it,' he said before sitting down on his own bed. I groaned.
The next morning, I was awoken by Sideswipe. 'Are you getting up, sweetspark?' He asked. I leaned into his hand. 'Lay down with me,' I muttered. 'Wish I could. I have to give a training in thirty minutes.' My eyes snapped open. 'Can I join?' I asked. He snorted and jumped on the ground. 'No, you can't,' he stated. 'Sideswipe, please. You can teach me how to fight,' I said. 'You're sore. Your muscles need rest. At least 24 to 48 hours,' he stated. I snorted and slid on the ground carefully. 'Please?'
'No.'
He passed me. I can't change his mind. If he says no, then it's no. 'Sideswipe.' I tugged on his arm. 'Please?' I asked. He sighed heavily. 'Wasn't I clear, I can't remember I was talking in Cybertronian. My answer is no, my answer stays no and I won't go in discussion,' he said before passing me. 'I am gonna join.' He slammed the bathroom door shut. I quickly dressed up and waited for him.
