Chapter 19

Randhir came back home with Sanyukta. He was really worried for her now. Sanyukta became a living corpse now, all the time she was sitting at a corner of their room staring exactly nothing or sleeping after taking pills. Randhir always stay beside her holding her hands. He used to admire her face when she was sleeping but his vision got blur everytime due to tears when he remember what he was doing with her.

One morning Randhir was watering Sanyukta's plant's when he heard the door bell. He came down and open the door and saw Kanika stood there. She is Sanyukta's childhood friend. Randhir smiled at her, he was happy to saw her. Must be now Sanyukta get normal to see her.

"Aare Kanika tum, come in." Randhir smiled at her but she don't.

"Sanyukta kaha hain?" She asked straight.

"She is in the room." Before Randhir complete Kanika rushed towards the upstairs when Randhir followed her.

"Sanyu kaisi hain tu?" Kanika asked hugging her tightly.

"Sanyu main aah geyi hu don't worry." She said breaking the hug and look at her but Sanyukta don't say anything.

"Sanyu....Sanyu! Sanyu dekh main Kannu, main aah geyi hu!" Kanika shook her when Randhir look them surprisingly.

"Sanyu kuch tho bol, kuch vi!" Kanika said again and again but she don't even react.

"Kanika wo Sanyukta..." Before Randhir say anything Kanika rushed towards him and hold him by his collar.

"Keya kiya hain tumne Sanyu ke saath bolo, haan keya kiya hain? Usske bachhe ko tho usski koke mein maar dala aab keya usse vi maar dalna chahete ho?" Kanika said furiously when Randhir was stunned by her words.

"What are you saying Kanika, keya bol rahi ho tum! Sanyukta ka miscarriage huya tha wo vi accidentally, main aapne bachhe ko kyu marunga? I loved my child so much." He gulped hard remember their unborn child.

"Tho keya Sanyu aapni bachhe se pyar nehi karti thi, keya usse aapne bachhe ko khone ka utna hi gam nehi tha, tho phir tumne kaise usse aapne hi bachhe ki murderer kaha jab ke aapne unborn baby ka death ka zimmedar tum ho Randhir tum, Sanyu nehi." Kanika almost shouted when Randhir look at her shockingly.

"What are you saying Kanika, aapne bachhe ka maut ka zimmedar main hu, maine maara hain aapne bachhe ko?" Randhir was shocked.

"Haan haan tumne Randhir, tumne mara hain usse. You left the washroom wet, shower late waqt shampoo giraya tha tumne floor par, aur tumhara wallet laate waqt Sanyu uss mein phisal kar gir geyi aur usska miscarriage ho geya. Tumhari wajase Sanyu ne aapna bachha kho diya, tumhari wajase wo phir kabhi maa nehi bann sakti, tumhari wajase Randhir sirf aur sirf tumhari wajase." Kanika shouted from the top when Randhir froze there to listen her words.

"Nehi aaisa nehi ho sakta, yeh jhoot hain. Meri wajase humara baby... Meri wajase!" Randhir was stammered badly.

"Yeh saach hain, you are the reason behind Sanyu's miscarriage Randhir. You are the soul reason behind your unborn baby's death. Sanyu nehi." Kanika said when he look at her blankly.

"Kamal hain na Randhir itni baadi baat Sanyu ne mujhse share ki lekin tumhe kabhi nehi baataya. Pata hain kyu, kyu ki Sanyu ko pata tha ke tum yeh sachhai bardast nehi kar payoge, tut jayoge sachhai jaan kar. Issi liye Sanyu ne tumhe kuch nehi bataya, tumhare sare jhoote illzam chup chap sahe liya. But itni baadi sacrifice ke badle usse keya mila Randhir, 'Dhoka'!"

"You cheated on her for other girl Randhir. Wo vi issi liye kyu ki Sanyu kabhi maa nehi baan sakti! Keya reward diya hain na tumne usse Randhir usske pyar ka, usske sacrifices ka, usske intezaar ka, usske biswas ka! Tumne tho sirf usske bachhe ka hi nehi usske bhadose ka vi khoon kiya hain Randhir! Khoon ke aasu rulaya hain usse sirf usski ek kami ki wajase."

"Ek baat baatao Randhir keya ek aurat ki zindegi ka maksad sirf bachhe paida karna hota hain! Aur aagar wo bachha na de sake tho usse nikal kar phek do, jaise log ghar se kachra nikal kar phek dete hain! Keya aurat sirf bachha paida karne ki ek machine hain?" Kanika shouted again when tears started rolling down from Randhir's eyes who are dying thousand deaths to heard her words.

"Pata hain Randhir jab vi ek bachhe ki maut hoti hain tho usske saath saath ek maa ka vi maut ho jata hain! Sanyu vi puri tarhase tut geyi thi aapne bachhe ko khone ki gam mein, lekin phir vi wo jeena chahati thi tumhare liye, tum dono ki pyar ke liye; lekin tumne keya kiya Randhir usski aakhri ummed vi tor diya! Chhod diya usse itni badi duniya mein aakela!" Kanika said gulping down when Randhir lowered his lashes.

"Ek maa ko tho tumne pehele hi maar dala tha Randhir lekin Sanyu ki aandar ki aurat uss din marr geyi jab ussne tumhe kisi dusri ladki ke saath dekha!" Kanika said when Randhir just froze at his place.

"Aapne bachhe ko kho kar phir vi kisi tarhase wo jee rahi thi Randhir lekin tumhare dhoke ne tho usse puri tarhase maar dala! Aab baas ek hi request hain tumse ke yu til til karke marne se tho aachha usse ek hi baar mein maar dalo. Kamse kam usse iss narak se tho mukti mil jayegi!" Kanika said in between her tears when Randhir was stood there like a statue.

Sanyukta was sitting silently when Kanika go near her and hugged her tight.

"I'm sorry Sanyu, main kuch nehi kar payi tere liye kuch vi nehi. Lekin aab main aah geyi hu na, tu dekhna main sab kuch thik kar dungi, tu chinta mat karna." Kanika said caressing her back.

She then wiped her tears and get up to leave but stopped next in front of Randhir.

"Am leaving now but will come back soon for Sanyu and if you still left some shame and humanity too, do something to save her and apologize her." Kanika said in an icy cold voice and left from there taking a last glance of Sanyukta when Randhir sat down on the floor with a thud as his legs didn't support him anymore.

"Sanyukta ko sab kuch pata tha?" Came his almost inaudible voice.
