Penelope's POV:

Sunday morning finally came and I woke up still face down on my bed and the sun was shining through my curtains. I looked at the clock and it was 8am. Wow. I can't believe I woke up this early out of nowhere.

I realized I was still in my clothes from last night, so I took a quick shower and changed into a big t-shirt with my favorite black fuzzy pants with white bunnies on them and I slid on my purple unicorn house shoes. I walked into the living room and turned on the tv. I flipped through the channels until I found the cartoons. I went into the kitchen and got myself a bowl of Froot Loops with milk and a spoon and sat on the couch watching the cartoons.

I love doing this on Sundays. It makes me feel like a kid again. Morgan crept into my mind after a while. I couldn't wait to see him at work tomorrow. But, I still didn't know if he liked me or not. Not even as a friend yet! But, there's always a possibility.

The doorbell snaps me out of my thoughts. I put my bowl down on the coffee table and answer it. I open the door to a slender, blonde haired woman in pink and purple sweats.

"Hi!" she said in a cheery voice. "Hello." "I'm Jennifer but, you can call me JJ." She extends her hand for me to shake it. I shake her hand nervously. "Uh hi JJ. I'm Penelope. Why are you...?" "Oh! I'm sorry. I work at the BAU and I just wanted to meet you outside of work. I'm on the team you'll be working with. I'm the Communications Specialist. Basically, I deal with the media and stuff like that." "Oh ok! Well uh, why don't you come in." "Ok thanks."

She steps in and I close the door behind her. "How did you get my address?" "Oh I got the paperwork you filled out and it had all your information on it. And I thought why not go ahead and welcome her ya know?" "Yeah. Umm, well thanks actually, for this ya know. I was kinda worried I wouldn't fit in." "Oh no! It's no problem! We hadn't had anyone new to the team in years so just wanted to welcome you." "Oh ok. Would you like some cereal or anything?" "Yeah that'd be great."

I walk into the kitchen as she sits on the couch. "With or without milk?" "With milk." I get a bowl out the cabinet and a spoon. "What kinda cereal do ya like? I got all kinds here!" "Do you have Froot Loops?" "That's my favorite kind!" "Funny that's my favorite too!" I make her her bowl of cereal and hand it to her then grab mine off the coffee table.

"So, I see you like cartoons." says JJ with a mouth full of cereal. "What?" I say with a mouth full of cereal. "What? I can't understand you?" "What? You like canned juice?" "You like ham soup?" "You like to shoot hoops?" "You like to hula hoop?" We burst out laughing at our goofiness. Once we stop laughing, I say,"That was fun." "Yeah. Felt like a kid again." "Yup those were the good old days." We share a laugh and it grew quiet after a few seconds.

"I didn't have a lot of friends back at home." "Oh. Well, you gotta start somewhere, right? And besides, now you have five. Betcha didn't know that, did you?" I chuckle a little and say,"Nope. Not at all."

---

The rest of the morning, we sat on the couch laughing and talking about any and everything. After about three to four hours, she had to leave. I thanked JJ for the company and said I couldn't wait to see her and meet the rest of the team tomorrow and I got her cell number.

When she was gone, I sat on the couch and said to myself. "Penelope Garcia, you just made a friend. Or five."
