Derek's POV:

Bright lights were everywhere and I couldn't hear anything. I was moving but I didn't know what I was on. My shoulder was still hurting, but not as much. I was dipping in and out of consciousness.

The next time I woke up, I was in a hospital room and I was on a bed. I looked over to my right and a nurse was there. "Good! You're awake! How ya feelin'?" "Not the best." I said in a croaky voice. "Aw, don't worry. You'll feel better in a few days. I'll tell you team that you're awake."

The nurse walks out the room. For a few minutes it was quiet in the room. Then, JJ comes rushing through the door,"Oh my god Morgan! I'm so glad you're alive!" She gives me a hug,"Ow! Careful with the hugs would ya?" She laughs and says,"We were worried about you." "Yeah, we needed someone big and strong to help kick down some doors." says Rossi.

I smile and look around. Everyone was there. Except Penelope. "I'm glad y'all are here." "We're always here." said Hotch. I smile and ask,"Where's Garcia?" Everyone gives each other a worried look. "Hello? Anybody hear me? Where's Penelope?" Still no one answered. "If no one is gonna tell me, I'm gonna go find out myself." "I'll talk to you, Morgan." said Hotch. He gives everyone a look and they leave.

"Hotch you're scaring me man. What happened?" "Garcia was beaten by the woman that captured you and her. She also got shot in the shoulder, near a major artery." "Wait, a woman?" "Yes, it was a duo. A man and a woman." "Oh, continue." I sat up in the bed,"She's in a coma and-" "A COMA?! Where is she." "Morgan calm down. She's doing fine and the doctor said she's going to be ok. It'll be a few days before you get out and you can take as much time as you want off." I relax and sit back,"Thanks Hotch." "Anytime." He pats my shoulder and leaves the room.

As I lay in the bed, all I can think about is how Penelope will be after she wakes up. Will she remember me? Is she ever going to wake up? I can't loose her not now. Not ever. I dose off with her still on my mind.

Penelope's POV:

"Penelope. Penelope." I hear a soft voice calling my name from a distance. I open my eyes and I'm standing in a field with yellow flowers as far as I can see. The sky is crystal clear and the wind is blowing my hair. I'm in a yellow sundress and bright orange flats with a wide yellow headband.

"Penelope." I hear it again. I look around but no one is in sight. I turn around and there's a tree on a hill with apples on it. I start walking towards it. With the wind in my hair and my fingertips brushing along the flowers, I was enjoying this.

I finally got to the tree,"Glad you made it." It was my mom, still beautiful as ever. Her blonde hair tied in a ponytail. Her bright green eyes and bright yellow dress and shoes to go with it. She was sitting on a plaid red and white cloth, like the kind you take on picnics. "Sit." She gestures to the spot in front of her and I sit down feeling the grass.

"Aren't you glad to see me little one?" "Ecstatic! Where have you been?" "Hanging with the big guy." I laugh and look down. "I've been watching over you, little one. And I'm so proud of you!" I smile at the ground and say,"Yeah."

"Is something wrong?" "No, nothing." I start to wonder about Kevin. "He's not good for you." I look at her with a confused look,"Kevin. He's up to no good. My motherly censors are going crazy!" I smile and ask,"How so?" "Momma knows best." We smile at each other.

"How's dad?" "Good. Good. He's all like "That's my little girl!" and I'm like "That's MY girl you're talking about!"" I giggle and sigh. "I've missed you mom. I've needed some guidance and this really helped me. I love you." She smiles.

I look around at all the pretty flowers. I look back at mom and there's a dark figure behind her with a gun,"MOM!" The figure shoot her in the back and everything turns black. A blur appears and it's of me. The woman beating me. And then shooting me in the shoulder. I see Derek from a distance. I'm dirty and I'm running and running and running towards him, calling his name.

I open my eyes and I'm laying down in the flowers. I sit up quick and look around frantically. "Mom!" my voice echoes and she appears behind me. "You fell asleep." She sits beside me. "What happened?" "Nothing," she kisses my forehead,"So who's this Derek?"

"What're you talking about?" "You were mumbling his name in your sleep." "Oh. He's a friend of mine and-" "Yes," she looks into the field and smiles,"I approve." I give her a confused look and an orange butterfly floats by. It lands on my nose and stays there. The wind blows and I close my eyes.
