Let go of me...ghost!" I yelled as I struggled to get out of the floating cloak.
I tried to use my fire to burn the cloak, but it didn't work. I tried to use my strength and that didn't work either.
Then, the ground began to shake a lot. The only person I knew who could shake a room like that was Skyler.
"Skyler!" I shouted.
"Peter, come here!" she yelled softly.
I was about to reply that I was stuck at the moment, but then I felt the cloak fly off of me. I watched as it went to a man who had brown, slicked back hair and a goatee.
"You must be the boy Tony was telling me about. The girl yelling must be your girlfriend." the man said.
"I'm Peter. Who are you?" I asked.
"Dr. Strange." he replied.
"What's your real name?"
"I told you it's Dr. Strange." he said, getting irritated.
"Oh. Are you the person Mr. Stark sent to help Skyler?"
"Mr. Parker, your girlfriend is ready to leave." a nurse said.
I ran into Skyler's room. She was looking out the window of her small room.
"Peter, can we go?" Skyler asked, tired of her tiny room and uncomfortable bed.
I nodded and she followed me out to the waiting room. Dr. Strange was sitting in a chair. He looked like he was thinking. Suddenly, a portal appeared and Dr. Strange pulled Skyler and I in it with him.
I kept my eyes closed and then Dr. Strange touched me and I opened them."Who the hell are you?! Why did you just do that!?" Skyler yelled angrily.
"I am a sorcerer. My name is Dr. Strange. I want to talk to you about what has been happening to you, but we had to go somewhere private."
I whispered to Skyler that Dr. Strange was his real name and not his made up name.
"Why did you have to choose a desert?" I asked as I took my winter coat off.
"So, you guys glow when you touch and Peter has been developing new powers." Dr. Strange said, ignoring my question.
"Yes, my dad said you would know what was wrong." Skyler said.
"I believe that..."
"Mr. Sorcerer, do you have a wand? Did you go to a school that taught you magic? Do you have a lightning-shaped birthmark?" I asked quickly, interrupting Dr. Strange.
Dr. Strange looked very annoyed.
"Peter, Dr. Strange is not Harry Potter. Don't interrupt him again." Skyler laughed and then became serious.
"As I was saying, I believe that you two share a very special connection. Peter, before you were born, you were chosen to be a protector of Skyler Stark. You will always be there for her. Eventually, you will be able to control the glow, but it acts as a forcefield to protect you both." Dr. Strange explained.
I'm Skyler's protector! The glow is a forcefield! My mind was racing with thoughts.
Dr. Strange was about to say something else, but then he didn't. Was he not telling us something?
