Secretly Stark

Alone

"Ashley! Ashley, wake up!" I screamed and shook her, hoping for her to say something, anything. She didn't answer and I began to panic.

"Peter, why are you yelling? I'm trying to do something." Mr. Stark walked in.

I couldn't speak so I just pointed over to the motionless Ashley on the floor. Mr. Stark immediately called the medical employees and Ashley was taken to the hospital floor. Doctors rushed her into a room and wouldn't let anyone inside. Mr. Stark stayed for a couple minutes and then left. I wanted to scream at him to stay, but then I saw him wiping tears away and realized that he didn't want anyone to see how upset he was. Skyler ran into the room, out of breath.

"Oh my gosh, Peter. Is she going to be ok? What happened? I came as quick as I could."

"I...I don't know. We were talking and then she started to go from being herself to this adult lady. She said something about finally being herself and then collapsed on the floor. It has to be the poison inside her. I just hope that they can get the poison out of her."

Skyler didn't say anything, but I could see a little bit of tears drop down her face and her chair began to slightly shake. We waited for what seemed like forever and then a doctor came over to us.

"Ms. Stark and Mr. Parker, can you please come with me." the doctor said and lead us to the room.

My hands were trembling with fear and every so often, a couple sparks came out of my hand. Finally, we reached the room and the doctor lead us to Ashley.

"I'm sorry, but we have tried everything we possibly can. Say your..." the doctor started to say, but I cut him off before he could finish.

"No! You will help her! She can't be gone!" I yelled angrily and flames covered me, "She...can't be gone. I...I didn't get to say bye."

The flames went away and I fell to the ground, crying my eyes out. Skyler sat down next to me and also cried. While we were on the ground, Mr. Stark and the other team members came in and said their goodbyes. Mr. Stark tried to stay strong, but couldn't hold back his tears. Eventually, Skyler and I were the only other people in the room with Ashley. We were alone. I'm not sure how long we sat there like that, but it must have been a while because a doctor came in to tell us that we had to say our goodbyes and leave. Skyler and I didn't want to leave because it meant we would be really saying goodbye. We slowly got up and went over to Ashley.

"Ashley, I know you can't hear me, but I just want you to know that you were an amazing friend. I wish you didn't have to go, but I will miss you so much. I will never forget your kindness to Skyler and I. Goodbye...Ashley." Tears clouded my vision.

Skyler said her goodbye next.

"Ashley, I've known since I was a child. I wish I could've gotten to know more about the real you, but I could tell that we would've been great friends. I so sorry that you had to go through all the pain and torture from Lilith. You never even got to meet your real parents. You and your sister will be in a better place. Goodbye...Ashley." Skyler hugged her and then turned around with something in her hands.

"Skyler, what is that?" I asked.

"Peter, it's a note from Ashley and it was written today."
