Min-Hee
"Jimin-ah!" I shouted from my seat in front of a vanity.
It was the day of the competition and I was the main part. We were in none other than New York City and I was slightly panicked. This was our last competition and it was a go big or go home situation. If our class wins this, we'll get an actual studio run by an idol company.
"What's wrong?" Jimin asked, walking up behind me.
"I'm panicking and freaking out." I said, my breathing picking up.
"Woah, woah, woah. It's alright. We took it home last year and got the studio remodeled. We're going to take it this year and have an official studio in an entertainment company." He said, resting his hands on my shoulders.
I looked in the mirror and sighed, shaking still from nerves as I resumed fixing my hair. My eyes drifted upwards to look at his reflection. His hair was parted over his left eye and his bangs hung along his forehead, creating a rounded heart where his hair split. His torso held a white dress shirt with a loose tie. The top two buttons were undone and I couldn't help but stare.
"Taking in the sight?" he asked, pulling me from my thoughts.
"Shut up. This is only for the dance. If you try anything, you know it won't be Taehyung or the guys that put you in your place." I said, setting the final strand of hair.
I stood to my feet and adjusted my red bejeweled jacket. Under it, my torso was clothed by a loose yet fitted zebra print shirt and my hips and legs were cloaked by tight black skinny jeans. My hair was down in loose barrel curls with an off center parting. I bent over and zipped up my heels before sighing and looking at the stage from behind the curtains.
There were hundreds of people out there. My phone went off in my pocket with a text message. I flicked on the screen and smiled seeing Taehyung's name.
"Good luck, beautiful. I know you'll win. I promise I'm here. I'm right in the front row."
I smiled as I thought for a second before responding.
"I will do better than my best. We're the last group to go on. So I have to give it my all."
I locked my screen and handed it to my instructor. He looked me over before adjusting my jacket and dusting my shoulder off. With a smile, he walked with Jimin and I over to the edge of the curtains.
"Ready, Jiminnie?" I asked, calming myself.
"Let's give it everything we got." He said, holding my hand for comfort.
We walked onto the stage and cheering started. I glanced around and immediately felt a strange feeling. I felt like I was on a stage at a concert. This was OUR moment. I looked in the front row and saw the others waving small hand made signs.
"Hello. I'm Jeon Min-Hee." I said.
"And I'm Park Jimin." Jimin said.
"And were from Gen X Dance Academy." We both said.
"Alright. Let see what you got." A female judge said, smiling.
