Taehyung
"Ready, baby girl?" I asked Min-Hee, softly.
It was the day of our school dance competition and the air was thick as everyone paced back and forth. I wrapped my arms around her and looked in the full length mirror that stood before us. I was wearing a satin silver button up with baggy sleeves and the top two buttons undone. My lower half sported black pleather pants and a thin belt that settled, comfortably, into the belt loops while the shirt was tucked in but still slightly pulled so that it folded over a bit.
I had decided on dying my hair for this dance but couldn't pick a color so I was stuck with blonde. Finishing off the outfit, I wore blue contact lenses, and a single dangling earring in my left ear and on my feet, I wore black dress shoes. In front of me, Min-hee wore a black dress that hugged her torso then flowed into a black and white, short, ballroom styled skirt of white tulle. The top of the dress cut into a low dip on the front and a deep "V" cut in the back, while bejeweled straps held it up and the sleeves hung off her shoulders.
Over her right breast to under her right arm a design of fabric silver flowers and gems garnished her dress. A similar design went across her stomach, starting at the left side of her waist. Her hair was down and free flowing with loose curls as a faux black rose decorated her bangs that were pinned back. Going down, I could see she had on a pair of black heels. They had a slim strap around the ankles and came to a thinned out middle section just above her toes and silver Crystal's went into arches towards the middle.
"I'm so nervous. It's not just me and one other person. It's me, one other person, and an entire group of backup dancers." She said.
I looked around at everyone else to see them in the same outfit as ours except the guys' shirts were a red silk and the ladies wore a black and red dress with red tulle.
"Hey. Look. We've been practicing this. I picked up pretty quick and even you said we were going to turn heads." I told her.
"I know. I'm just nervous. What if they don't like it?" She said, looking at our reflections.
"Then we will have to try harder." I said, smiling.
She gave a soft smile and turned her head to look up at me. I planted a small kiss on her cheek before I heard Jimin's voice.
"Minnie!" He called, walking over to us.
He took one look at her and sighed before looking at me then at her.
"I can tell you're getting yourself worked up." He said, cupping her face in his hands.
"Jimin. They are out there." She said.
"And they are going to love it. I already talked to Jungkook. He's just as nervous about it as you are. He wants to make them proud, too." Jimin said, rubbing her cheeks. "Your mom and dad are watching you from above and I can tell they're putting everything they have in them into you. They want you to make sure that your parents, now, know their daughter is not something to mess with in dancing. Make them see that there's much more to you than meets the eye."
"But I'm so worried. They've come so far. What if it's not good and they wasted their trip?" She asked.
"Min min." I began. "They are your parents. Im assuming they're proud of you and Jungkook already. Any trip to see you two is a trip well spend. First place or not."
She looked back and forth between me and Jimin then smiled and pulled us both into a hug, thanking us.
"I don't know where I'd be without you two." She said, softly.
