“My face hurts.” Jimin whined as Hoseok tended to him.

Everyone was wide awake and it was only five in the morning. Well. Almost everyone. Yoongi was laying on the floor, half asleep.

“Well if you weren't so stupid, she wouldn't have hit you.” I said, not sparing him a glance.

“I said I'm sorry!” He said, groaning. “I just. Lost it. I couldn't handle the thought of never having her again. And when I went to go to the bathroom. And she was all I heard. I hated that it wasn't me.”

“Want to know something?” Jin said as he emerged from the kitchen.

“Gonna tell him?” Namjoon asked.

I knew what was about to be said, everyone knew. Except Jimin.

“Before she met you, her and Namjoon were a little more than friends.” Jin said.

I watched as Jimin's face went to shock. He looked around at everyone who shrugged it off. His gaze settled on Namjoon.

“She had just gotten to the school and I thought she was the most beautiful person there.” Namjoon said.

I sat back and listened as Jimin sat down working on comprehension. Jin walked back into the kitchen to continue cooking while Yoongi and Hoseok sat in to listen.

“To skip the unimportant stuff. She became my girlfriend and I was just like you. I was addicted to her. All of her. Her and I are the same age. I just graduated before she did. And then you came along.” He said, looking at Jimin.

“Me?” Jimin asked.

“Dude when you came around, Joon started to get jealous that she was hanging out with you.” I said.

“He accused her of cheating on him with you. She ran to me after school and cried. She was like my little sister. I was pissed.” Yoongi said, yawning.

“I swear we never did anything. We only hung out and danced.” Jimin said, quickly.

“I let it go, after a while, because she seemed to be happier with you. And I thought, too, if I made her cry from this, do I really deserve it when she says she loves me?” Namjoon continued, brushing it off.

I looked around and settled on Jin who was now in the doorway, listening.

“Everything in me wanted to knock you out for taking her from me. I hated you. Even after we all moved in, I only played nice because she was attached to you. It took some time to get over it but I did. Because, yes. I heard you and her. Several times. I hated that it wasn't me. I wanted to make you pay. But then I thought about how she sees me and how I'd feel knowing I'd be hurting her.” Namjoon said, shifting his seating position.

“It's okay to want. I'm not saying you can't want her. Sometimes I still do. But that's because of who she is. And I know that if she is meant to be mine, she'll come back. If not? Then all I can do is be happy that she's happy.” He continued.

“To put it simple? Don't be a dick.” Yoongi said, waving him off.

“Only reason I'm still friends with her is because I've accepted that I may never get her back.” Namjoon said.

“And because she forgave you.” Jungkook said.

“Well I think that's a given. Anyway.” Namjoon started. “My advice to you is this. You don't have to take it, but here it is. Know what's not yours anymore. Set it free. If it somehow comes back to you, then hold onto it and never let it go, again. Just be mindful of what consequences your actions can carry.”
