"Cas?" Dean slipped under the covers on his bed, missing the warmth that wasn't there. "Cas?" He asked again.
Cas didnt reply straight away, he just got in alongside Dean, snuggling into his chest as usual.

"Yes?" Cas finally anwsered back.

"What's Heaven like?"

Dean felt Cas tense up almost immediately and he went cold, as if there were bad memories linked to the place. The angle angled his head to look at the hunter, Cas's eyes gleaming a bright blue in the semi-darkness of the cell.
Dean gave Cas a few moments to collect his thoughts.

"Death." Was the only word Castiel said before falling quiet. Dean was just about to open his mouth to reply when Castiel continued.

"You ever think why there is a need for armies? And why i need to fight? Its not against Lucifers demons, it's against my own brothers and sisters. There's always war in Heaven, even more now Dad is gone. Everything has fallen, fights for power everywhere. I have killed many of my siblings and i cant go back there after this."

"Then dont." Dean's voice cut through the dark, rushed and slightly pained. This angel was making him feel something. And Dean had almost forgotten what it was like to do so, having been numb for too long.

"I dont have a choice." Castiel looked up at Dean with sad eyes, eyes that suddenly reflected how old he actually was.

Dean was quiet until Cas finally fell asleep.

Then he slipped out of the bed.

Overpowered the cell door.

And went away into the dark hallway.

°°°

The first thing Cas realised when he woke up was the cold spot next to him. Dean was gone and judging how cold the bed was, he had been gone a while.
Cas blinked the sleep out of his eyes, sitting up just as the cell door clanked open.

Charlie stalked in, dragging Dean by the collar. She was furious, her eyes lighting in anger as Dean winced as his neck was crushed by the jumpsuit collar.
Charlie roughly pushed Dean onto one of the beds, Dean moving his head so it didnt smash into the metal frame.

"I caught him wandering the halls," Charlie gestured over to Dean, "Your lucky again that i found him and i know how to edit security camera footage. I may work for the angels but im not here to clear up their messes! Keep your hunter where he is supposed to be!"

And with that Charlie stormed out the cell, muttering curses, her flaming hair reflecting her temper.

"Damn." Dean said after she left. He was rubbing his neck where the collar had pressed in, "She is strong."

Cas just stared at Dean for a few moments, head tilted, before turning away.
"Arent you going to ask me where i went?" Dean asked

Cas just shook his head,
"No. I dont think i want to know the anwser to that."

Dean stayed silent.
He was almost glad Cas hadnt asked.
But he would find out when the guards discovered all the blood.

For the first time since Sam had left, Dean didnt know what to do.

°°°

The phone rang at 8am, jerking Sam from his fitful dreams. He groaned and turned over in his double bed, before realising it was his work phone not the alarm.
"Hello, Sam Winchester speaking." Sam tried to keep his voice professional and not sleepy, despite the fact he had just woken up.

"We have a situation at the Prison and we think your suspect might have been involved in it."

Sam was out the house in less then 5 minutes.

°°°

Cas was hurled out of the room during breakfast. All the prisoners watched as Cas was marched out, Dean getting up to protest but then also being dragged out. No one except Dean knew what was going on. The rest of the prisoner had heard rumours of course but nothing was set in stone.
But they knew the winchester was involved. He always was.

°°°

Cas was shoved into a room, Dean shortly following. The hunter stumbled and fell forward, Cas catching him before he could hit the ground though. The guards locked the door from the inside.

Dean's sharp, trained eyes saw the smashed cameras and tables shunted up against the wall. Something was wrong. Dean reached for his gun and swore under his breath when he realised he was wearing a prison jumpsuit.
Cas however stayed silent, even when the guards turned around, black eyes gleamed in all 5 of their faces. Dean moved back towards the wall, scanning for anything he could use as a weopon. Cas still stood silent.

"Cas!" Dean yelled at the angel. The demons were fast approaching now, eerily silent.
A silver blade slide out of Cas's jumpsuit with a small shink sort of sound. Cas looked calm and actually walked towards the demons. He shunted the silver blade up the leading demons ribs, towards his heart.
The body flashed orange and sunk towards the ground. Two more demons came at Cas from his sides but the angel put his hands on their foreheads, bright light shining out.

The bodies crumpled to the ground and the 2 remaining demons looked at their fallen comrades and started back towards the door.
Cas simply pulled 2 blades out of nowhere and threw them effortlessly. They both sunk into the necks of the possessed guards and they too fell.

All of this happened in less then 10 seconds and Dean just blinked at Cas, unsure of what to do next.
But he didnt have to because at that exact moment, the locked door swung open. Sam was standing on the other side, gun raised but he lowered it slightly upon seeing Dean.

Cas was standing in a pile of dead bodies, just looking at Sam
"Sam Winchester." Cas said eventually. Sam raised his gun again but Dean rushed forward infront of Cas

"No!" Dean raised his hands, "Sam this is Castiel, the angel."
Sam was in shock slightly before whispering to Dean,

"I thought angels were supposed to be all calm with halos."
"Yeah well..." Dean raised his eyebrows, watching Cas as he zapped the hollowed out bodies somewhere else. More specifically, watching Cas's ass.

Sam watched Dean subconsciously bite his lower lip and followed where his eyes were looked at. Sam then smacked Dean on the arm. Hard.

"What was that for!" Dean exclaimed, looking at Sam with confusion and a bit of anger.
Sam decided to be direct in his reply.

"You cant fall for an angel."
Dean blushed a little bit, and ducked his head. Sam blinked a couple of times. Wait was Dean actually in love...?
In all the years before Sam had left, Dean was a manwhore. He would bring home men and women alike, often staying out the whole night. But he had never actually fallen in love

This was waay worse then what Sam had originally anticipated.

Sorry for being AWOL for a couple of weeks
