Chapter 5

Chloe

its funny.

i havent seen paige all day.

we usually walk with each other.

its fourth period so im waiting for the bell to ring for lunch

Mr. McGirty hands back our 2 math tests and homework

the bell rings and i quickly write down my grades and homework

"A, A Plus, Check, Page 347 Problems 13-30." i mutter to myself as i write the words down on my pages

Mr. McGirty walks out of the room.

i grab all my stuff and try to get out of class quickly.

all of a sudden my stomach drops and im on the ground with my books scattered everwhere

i try to get up but my whole body tenses up with a searing pain through my arm.

i let out a little yelp

i see some people walk in who are coming to the lower math class

i watch someone come over and help

i crawl with my 1 arm and 2 legs to find my books

i feel plastic run through my hands and put on my glasses to see Josh Hyland holding all my books

"Chloe? What happened?"

"i have no idea."

he holds out an outstretched arm but i shake my head."

"my arm is killing me. i think i tripped and landed on it with all my books in my hand."

"ok lets bring you to the nurse."

he pick me up and puts me on my feet.
