Chloe
The final bell of the day buzzes and all the teens rush out of the building.
i follow along with everyone until we reach the front doors.
everyone separates and i am left alone walking to the bus.
i don't realize until it happens, but josh sneaks up behind me.
he throws his hands right above my waistline
"boo." he says into my ear.
i jump a little when he puts his hand on me.
i try to turn my head around to yell at him but I'm stopped by a pair of lips that fit perfectly into mine.
i release.
"hi."
"hi." he smiles and tries to kiss me again.
i put up my two fingers on his lips and he kisses them, thinking they are mine.
i try so hard not to laugh but a giggle slips out
he opens his eyes and freaks out.
"im gonna kill you."
i make a yelp sound and run onto the bus
"Slow down!"
"Sorry Han- um Sorry."
me and josh exchange glances.
Hank is always on the bus.
"Um sir." Josh walks up.
"Yes?"
"Where is Hank?"
"Hospital. That guys getting old. probably his heart again."
"What?!"
i run to the back and sit down.
Josh rushes by my side after having a little talk with Mr. Nobody.
"His name is Mario."
"oh."
its silent between us for a minute.
"i really hope Hank is ok."
more people load onto the bus.
Paige sits in the seat across from me and josh.
"whats the haps."
"Hank is in the hospital."
"What?! Why?"
"his heart? idk."
Paige shuffles her feet.
"Idk what i would do without Hank."
My heart sinks and my stomach drops.
My eyes start to water.
"Chloe i am so sorry i never meant for it to come out in a rude way."
"its ok paige." i sniffle.
"why are you crying? whats wrong?" josh isn't the brightest
"I said how idk what i would do if hank wasn't here, aka if he died, and completely didn't realize what Chloe is going through and death."
josh nods and puts his arms over my shoulder.
"its gonna be ok. You will be fine Chloe."
he leans back a little, keeping his mouth in a line
The bus rolls by the same pothole and everyone flies.
"JESUS MARIO!"
Brandon screams.
