"The stair case is a wreck." Trevor observed. "We're not getting up without ropes." Trevor went to pick up his sword from earlier. "Start looking."
You looked up, it had to be at least six stories up. "Damn. This is going to be hard." Trevor grunted. You looked at Sypha who had put her hands up, for a spell most likely. My thought was confirmed when I looked down once I felt the temperature underneath me change. It was ice. Sypha started to elevate it, taking us gradually to the surface.
"We don't need ropes." She smirked.
You kept your eyes lowered to the ground. This was it. The final showdown. You should've been scared for your life, only to find that your worry for yourself was much smaller than your worry for your friends lives. Sypha. Trevor.
Alucard.
These past few days had given you the joy of a family for the first time since your father. They were what mattered to you now, as stupid as it sounds. You smiled and looked up at Alucard, his eyes were lowered too. You watched as the blood moon shone red light upon him, he was truly remarkable. Never have you felt this way about someone, but standing here and now, looking his way, all you found to feel was one emotion.
Love.
Over the short amount of time you knew him, he had managed to make you feel this. You curled your right hand into a fist and placed it over your chest.
Please let him be okay. You knew that if you four made even a slight slip up, it would most undoubtedly be fatal.
Alucards eyes snapped up at you. You gave a small smile, him returning it shortly. You would have preferred to have a moment with just him alone, alas there was no time. You looked at Sypha and Trevor who seemed to be paying mind to other things.
Here you go.
Your moment.
You looked back at him, who seemed to have been still admiring your features. You took a few steps closer until you could feel each other's breath while looking up at him. He placed a hand on the side of your face, using his thumb to stroke your cheek softly. Your heart felt as if it were about to explode out of your chest. Alucard leaned down onto your lips, while you stood on your tip toes in order to meet him half way. You closed your eyes. The feeling that of his soft lips on yours was....well you can't describe it. There are no words to convey how you feel. You placed one of your hands on the back of his head, the other going to his upper arm, twirling his silk soft hair slightly.
Eventually you pulled away, opening your eyes to see him looking back at you. "In case I don't get a chance to." You stated.
He still had his hand on your cheek, "Don't say that. There will be more chances."
"I sincerely hope so." Your eyes watered slightly, only for you to blink them away. No, you were not going to cry.
You and Alucard finally let go of each other, only to see that Trevor and Sypha had witnessed this. Though, you assumed they would, they didn't say anything. No words needed to be spoken, only giving a small sympathetic and worried look. They must be afraid too.
All of you carefully hopped off once you reached the top, walking off. You looked back when you heard a large shattering sound. Sypha had thrown the ice pillar a long ways off. You chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "Well, I didn't want to leave it in there to melt and ruin all those beautiful books."
"I can agree." You nodded at her actions.
"It seems damp enough out here as it is." Alucard raised his legs to examine his now wet boots.
"Oh, but look..." You looked to where Sypha pointed. The castle. Dracula's Castle.
"You did it, Sypha." Trevor smiled at her.
"Yes, but...seeing it is something else entirely." She stumbles over her words. "I'm pretty good, right?"
"You're the best." He smiled. "Alucard. Are you ready for this?"
"No." You couldn't imagine he would be. Killing your own father. Oh wait. Killing your own father and knowing what you were doing. That's better. He put a hand on his sword. "But let's put an end to this anyway."
You four walked up to the castle, it was huge, it took a few minutes to even reach the doors. The castle was bigger than you'd ever seen, and gorgeous, whoever built this probably took their entire lifetime making it.
"Should we knock?" You ask seriously. Only for Alucard to look at you in disbelief of the dumb question.
"...No." He hesitatingly stated. My eyes widened, realizing how dumb it was.
"Oh." The four of you regained your serious composure. You let out a sigh, before he pushed open the doors. There had to be at least a dozen vampires already in there. And they all were looking at your group with malice.
"I terrify them. (F/n) draws their attention and deals as much damage as possible. Sypha disorients then. Alucard goes over the top and we support him." Trevor explains quickly. You glanced at your friends, you weren't as powerful as them. At least not without the help of a dear "friend".
Did you really want to bring it out? Did you want them to have to watch you change? You sighed. They had already seen you in your lycan form, it wouldn't been much more having them see you change too.
The three of them had already gone in for the attack, but they needed you as well.
You let out an animalistic growl, and lowered yourself on all fours. You needed to change fast, before a vampire had its eyes set on you. Hair protruded from every single pore, your legs snapped and stretched into place, and you grew a muzzle, your teeth forming into massive fangs.
Once you were full werewolf, you let out a threatening roar, causing a female vampire to snap her gaze at you. She looked to be wearing a traditional japanese kimono, and very pale makeup. You felt angry. Furious.
You lunged at her at full speed, jumping onto her, though you only landed on the ground. You shook your head and looked around to see her appear to your right. You were only getting more pissed off, saliva dripped down your chin, pupils dilated. She narrows her eyes at you. You needed to think about how to kill her rationally. You needed to be fast, get her before she has the chance to form into mist again. Or maybe, anticipate where she will go.
Again, you launched at her, pushing your limits when it comes to speed. Though, she turned into mist again. You growled, and quickly looked around to see where she would from again. With an educated guess, you ran to the spot snapped your teeth at it, much to your pleasure, you tasted blood. You looked down to see you had her neck in your mouth. You used your arms to grab the rest of her body, claws digging into her flesh, pulling her head off her torso. And as all vampires do when they die, she formed into ash.
You snapped your head around, to look for your next unwilling victim. You managed to see Sypha cutting an Arab looking vampire in half. You caught glimpse of a bearded vampire, he smirked aggressively at you. This one was much easier for you to kill, as all you did was jump onto him and rip his trachea out. In order to further make sure he died, you went farther and bit down on his neck until he exploded into ash. You looked back up only to see your friends had finished the rest. Damn, that first one really took time out of the battle for you.
Your friends eyed you hesitantly as you walked up on all fours beside them. They only calmed down once you reached them, letting out an affirmative growl. Suddenly all your gazes snapped back deeper into the castle, there were screeching sounds.
Night creatures.
You could feel the beast get excited, it was a long time since it had last faced combat.
