"Lo?" Lauren heard Joey shout from their bedroom. She slid Diane from her lap and threw off the blanket that had been covering her legs. She got up from the couch and went down the hallway, seeing him stood facing her just inside the doorway.
She leaned against the door frame, frowning.
"You okay baby?"
He nodded, taking two steps towards her to wrap his arms around her waist, smiling.
She smiled back, slightly confused, until Joey nodded his head up. Lauren saw the mistletoe hanging above them and rolled her eyes.
"Okay, when did this get here?" she asked, laughing.
Joey shrugged, grinning at her.Lauren made to walk away, but Joey tightened his grip around her waist, pulling her back into him.
"Hey, where are you going?"
She pointed over her shoulder. "Back to the couch to cuddle Diane."
"Oh, I see," Joey said, smirking. "So you'd rather cuddle Diane than kiss me?"
Lauren put a thoughtful finger to her lips and Joey shook his head, laughing.
"Well, you've at least gotta give me a kiss before you go, it's tradition," he urged.
Lauren pushed herself onto tiptoes and pressed a brief kiss to his cheek. Joey rolled his eyes at her.
"Please Lo?" he begged.
She laughed softly at his puppy dog eyes, taking pity on him. She reached up to kiss his lips this time, her lips moving familiarly against his. Joey sighed happily, his hands sliding to her hips and tugging her closer to him. Lauren's hands slid into his hair as she pressed her body automatically against him, and he couldn't resist picking her up, her legs wrapping tightly around his waist as he carried her over towards the bed. He lay her down gently, covering her body with his.
"You hung it in the bedroom on purpose, didn't you," she mumbled against his lips between kisses.
"Wouldn't dream of it," he said with a grin.
