Kristle's POV

" I'm not going Tiffany." I said as gently as possible but it seemed impossible taking into account how she was pestering me to go to the junior/senior prom tonight. Tiffany Peril is now shaking my shoulders, as if she thought she could get a 'yes' out of me which obviously did not work.

" Pleaseee?" Tiffany begged. The way I would beg with her eyes nearly bulging out. Well I'm not exactly a very calm and I definetely can't take anymore of Tiffany's persistence, so I finally gave in which I regretted immediately.

" Yay! See you tonight." She said, bouncing off to class. I literally face-palmed myself for my stupid decision. I just can't imagine myself in a dress dancing in that stuffy and small gym. Well we all know one rule that goes around this school that everyone has to follow: If you said 'yes' to Tiffany, never and I mean never break your promise.

Now I need a date! I thought. Maybe I should ask Tristan-No! I remebered the conversation I had the night before. Obviously he's about to ask the girl he likes anyway. Heck I might as well go alone. Just then, Tristan approached me, ruffling his hair nervously.

I raised my eyebrows but said nothing. When he was face to face with me, he said, " Would you go to the prom with me?" he said, not meeting my eyes.

Is this a dream? I said in my head. I hid it behind my composed face and said, " Say what?"

He sighed then said " You," he pointed at me, "me," he pointed at himself, "go to the prom with me?"

" Err... okay? See you at 7? But wait, why didn't you ask that girl you were talking about last night?"

" I uhh... didn't want to ask her..." he said. I made no comment but was just so happy that he asked me to the dance. I feel like doing a cartwheel if I could. Maybe this won't be so bad...

It's now an hour before 7 and boy am I still regretting my 'yes'.

" No way! NO!" I said to Jessica as she showed me the ridiculous outfit. To others it was beautiful, gorgeous and sexy but the minute I saw it, I knew I was in for a very interesting night. It was white chiffon dress that reached my knees. It was a sash chiffon but with a strap.

Jessica and I didn't know what it was called so we called it a sundress or 'chiffon with strap'. I grudgingly put it on and put on a white carnation hairband and dyed my hair to a lighter brown and straightened my hair so the wave would go in instead of out.

" Wow! You look amazing!" Jessica said, eyeing me which made me uncomfortable. She took out a camera and told me to smile which I did because I don't want this night to get any worse with having a frown on prom day, especially when Tristan asked me out.

I got out of the house and Jessica drove me there with her 2004 pontiac all the way to the familiar building." Have fun Kris!" Jessica said before driving off. I took a deep breath and entered the gym.

Streamers hung on every corner of the room and a huge disco ball hang dead centre on the ceiling, reflecting the lights. I checked my watch. It was only 6.45 PM so I decided to mingle for a while and wait for Tristan.

There, I saw Ye Kai in his tux, literally drooling at seeing Clarice walking in with a gorgeous dress. She was... wow... I couldn't blame Ye Kai now. He looked like he was in a mental debate with himself. I moved there just in time to pierce through his eyes and convey my 'last message'.

He understood and approached Clarice and dragged her off to the hallway. I heard a distant shout from Ye Kai and with adequately good hearing I caught "Like" "okay?"
