Team NEGL (Fairy Tail x RWBY)

Chapter 22- Eye of the Dragon

Natsu and Gray were having a push up competition by the courtyard shirtless, with Yang, Weiss, Lucy and Erza spectating. Ruby was eating a bag of cookies whilst stroking Zwei, and Blake was reading a book under a nearby tree.

"503... 504... 505..." Natsu and Gray said at the same time, with neither looking like they were ready to give up yet.

Yang was staring at Natsu with a slightly lustful smirk, as she may or may not have been studying his shirtless form thoroughly the entire time. Weiss was slightly staring at him as well with a small blush, while also looking away and pretending to not be staring.

"Ready to give up yet Frostypants?" Natsu taunted, doing another three pushups rapidly.

"Not on your life Ash Breath!" Gray retorted, as he rapidly did twice as many pushups in an instant.

"Woo woo, go Natsu!" Yang cheered.

"Don't give up!" Ruby shouted.

"Do well... I guess." Weiss reluctantly added.

Both then shouted in great enthusiasm, until they collapsed at the same time. Most of the group could only stare with blank faces, as they weren't sure how to react.

"Damn (pant)... another tie (pant)..." Gray complained, lying on the grass in exhaustion.

"(Pant) You kidding (pant)... (pant) I won by two seconds obviously (pant)..." Natsu retorted.

Suddenly, Gray instantly flipped back up on his feet, completely out of his exhausted state and with an angry look directed at Natsu.

"YOU WANNA GO LIZARD FACE?!"

Natsu flipped off the ground instantly and glared at Gray dead in the eye as they butted heads like usual, beginning another round of taunting and ranting towards one another.

"LET'S GO, I'LL KICK YOUR FROSTBITTEN ASS!"

The two began fighting each other, Natsu delivering a punch to the face, and Gray kicking his ribs. It then continued into a continuous brawl with either a specific pattern or no pattern at all, as everyone else sweat dropped at the turn of events.

"Aren't you gonna stop them?" Weiss asked Erza.

"I don't see it necessary currently. All they're doing is sparring..."

Everyone sweat dropped at her answer, as Natsu and Gray started getting even more serious by using their Semblances.

"TIME TO MELT SNOWCONE!" Natsu shouted as he sent a torrent of flames flying straight at Gray. Luckily he managed to dodge it at the last second.

"NO WAY FLAME BRAIN!" Gray retorted as he launched a huge wave of ice at Natsu, who simply endured it, melting it with his intense body heat.

"THIS ROUND GOES TO ME!" They both shouted.

"YOU KIDDING?! NO WAY! WITH WEAPONS THIS TIME!" They shouted in sync again, running faster than the eye could track to the locker rooms.

"Those two are more of 'two peas in a pod' than they realise..." Lucy sighed, confused as to why her two teammates couldn't see how similar they were.

"Indeed. Anyway, we should focus on our training as well" Erza declared, causing everyone to cheer and shout 'Aye'.

(SPARRING CLASSROOM)

Team RWBY and NEGL decided to have a match between their whole teams. Both sides were fully equipped and taking combat stances. Natsu was opposite of Yang, Gray was opposite of Weiss, Erza was opposite of Blake, and Lucy was opposite of Ruby.
