Team NEGL (Fairy Tail x RWBY)

Chapter 12- Painting the town NEGL...

Once returning from his... slight incident, Natsu was tended to by Lucy for the giant bump which he now had on his head, with Gray snickering by his side and Erza sighing in disappointment at how her own team leader was beaten by a mere house pet. The blue cat was currently resting on Weiss's lap, who couldn't help but be mesmerised by its cuteness, sitting on Blake's bunk in the room.

"So I just have one question... HOW CAN A CAT FLY?!!" Gray asked, pointing at the blue cat in question as it was simply licking itself on Blake's bed.

"Well, since all things with souls have the capability to generate aura, this cat must have somehow unlocked its own with a Semblance as well..." Weiss theorised.

"Yes, and apparently that Semblance allows it to grow wings and fly, interesting..." Erza added.

"So... can we keep him, can we keep him?!" Ruby asked in a rushed manner, snatching and cuddling the adorable cat with every ounce of strength she had.

"(Sigh) Fine, but no more dropping me out of the window!" Natsu demanded, threateningly pointing at the cat, to which the feline only rubbed his cheek on the Faunus teen's finger with a small 'purr'.

"Yay, so what should we call the little guy?" Ruby asked.

There was a silence in the room, until Natsu broke the peace.

"I got it! We'll call him 'Happy'!" He declared, lifting the cat into the air, to which it responded by growing wings and flying all around the room.

"Happy?" Gray asked.

"Yeah, cause he's like a little bundle of happiness." He explained, smiling as the cat was flying in loops above everyone's heads.

"Plus he brings joy to everyone, just look at Weiss and Erza." Ruby added, pointing at the two mentioned girls as they could only stare at the flying cat with cute stares.

"SO ADORABLE!" they shouted at the same time.

(THE NEXT DAY)

Everyone was in Professor Port's lecture hall, listening to one of his boastful stories as usual. Weiss was just staring at her hollow clock, until Jaune slides closer towards her.

"So Weiss, y'know, uh, I-I was thinking after this, maybe we could go grab a bite to eat?... And, uh um, I've got two tickets to that new Spruce Willis movie, if you wanna make the trip to Vale. I hear it's awesome... Aaand maybe after that, we could study together? I mean you're smart and I'm, uh... y'know..."

This whole conversation was one sided with Port babbling on in the background as Weiss was obviously not listening. Soon after, the hollow clock suddenly started beeping, confirming that class was over.

"And then I-(beep) oh, timed that one wrong I guess. Well the stunning conclusion to the story will have to wait. Until next time!" Port said, in his usually cheery and boastful demeanour.

Weiss packed her stuff away while Jaune asked her "Weiss, did you hear me?"

"No, no, no... yes" She emotionlessly responded.

Jaune could only drop his head on the desk as everyone else left, falling in defeat at yet another failed attempt at trying to impress his crush. Most of Team RWBY and NEGL looked towards him in slight pity, while the rest didn't seemed bothered much.

"One day..." Yang encouraged.

"Right way, wrong direction..." Natsu added, earning a look of confusion from the blond teen... again.

(RWBY DORM ROOM)

Team RWBY and team NEGL all met up to discuss a plan, team RWBY all changed into outfits with more white and gray shades of colour than what they used to. Team NEGL now dawned new outfits as well. Natsu has a huge black coat with gold linings that covered his whole torso and had a cone shaped sleeve on his left, along with his usual trousers, sandals and scarf. Gray wore a red shirt, dark blue jacket with fluff on the collar and the sleeve ends, along with blue jeans and regular trainers. Lucy had a more revealing outfit, with an open jacket without sleeves, separate sleeves, a black skirt, black leggings and brown boots, all with a mix of light blue, white and yellow. Erza simply wore her usual outfit, except without the chest plate, armor on the arms, or any armor at all, simply a white sleeveless top, blue skirt and black boots.
