Team NEGL (Fairy Tail x RWBY)

Chapter 6- What it takes to be a leader...

It was morning, Weiss just got out of bed, stretching and yawning loudly, about to stand up until Ruby suddenly appeared next to her and blew a whistle in her face.

"Good morning team RWBY!" The cape wearing girl exclaimed, enthusiastic for the first day as a Beacon student.

"What is wrong with you?!" Weiss asked, annoyed about the rude awakening.

"Well you see... wait, where's Yang?"

All team members looked around in confusion, and started to wonder about their friend's unnoticed absence, until the door opens, revealing a VERY happy Yang, fully dressed in school uniform.

"Here I am!" Yang shouted, answering the question with a cheery voice.

"Or should I say... here I YANG!"

Everyone simply groaned at the pun, causing Yang to look slightly more irate.

The whole team was now up, fully unpacked since yesterday and ready to start the day. Currently they were looking through the daily schedule, making themselves accustomed to the routine. They all found out they had a class together at 9 o'clock, and so decided to start walking there half an hour early.

(CLASSROOM)

After walking for about 10 minutes, they finally reached Professor Port's classroom, noticing that they were one of the first few to arrive. After noticing that team RWBY and JNPR hadn't arrived yet, they were becoming concerned about what the lack of presence they had and causing a potential absence on the first day.

"Man, where are they?" Natsu asked.

"Probably still unpacking, Weiss definitely had a LOT of stuff..." Gray suggested, emphasising  the word 'lot'.

"Come on guys, they'll make it here..." Lucy encouraged, trying to lighten the mood.

"Yes, we must have faith that they'll arrive in time." Erza finished in a more than usual strict tone, looking at Natsu with a slight sense of bitterness in her eyes.

(A FEW MINUTES LATER)

Team's RWBY and JNPR arrived at the last minute, apparently due to losing track of time and running all the way here. After that was sorted, everyone took their seats and Professor Port began his lecture to welcome his new students.

"Monsters! Deeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!"

The lesson started with Port introducing the class to his ideal perspective of what Grimm are to Huntsman, presenting them as simply an enemy who should fear those who actually fight them.

Natsu was actually paying attention to the teacher, as he found the way he talked to be very amusing. Gray was simply napping in the corner, Lucy was taking notes, trying her very best to go forward in the academy, and Erza did the same as her at a faster pace and with more precision.

Port then began telling a story about himself when he was younger, mentioning things about his grandfather smelling like cabbages and some completely incomprehensible result of a seemingly asinine approach to apprehending an Alpha Beowolf. To this Natsu was wondering if the story was true, or if this man was kind of a liar who only wanted attention through over exaggerated tales of supposed exploits. Port then started listing the morals of his story, using a repetitive pattern with key words to emphasise his point.

"A true Huntsman must be honorable!"

Whilst this was happening, Ruby was doing all sorts of stupid actions in between Port's lines, which obviously made Weiss grow more irate by the second if anyone bothered to observe.
