Stubborn.
Sticking around.
Keeping me guessing.
Waiting for your misty presence.
It gazes at me.
Sits on the grave
Of who she once was.
A surreal experience.
Something like no other.
How could she be here?
Have I gone crazy?
My mind has melted.
I'm twisted.
A whirlwind of emotion.
All the wrong ones.
All the ones people fear.
Sadness,
Anger,
Guilt,
No sense of happiness.
I don't want to die,
But if a car was coming,
I wouldn't budge.
Stubborn.
I don't want to die,
But if you put a gun to my head,
I wouldn't cry.
Stubborn.
She knows this
As she counts the petals,
Those blushing pink petals.
They ring out memories -
Melancholy thoughts
Of hopelessness.
Hopeless I remain.
Hopeless I will stay.
Stubborn.
