Chapter 8

"So I heard you're taking out Gabriella tonight?" I ask James while leaning against the locker next to his as he collects his books

"Oh uh hey Gray, uh yeah I am why?" He asks but my angry expression answers it all

"Oh uh is it a problem?" He asks me with uncertainty

"What do you think?" I ask in a cold tone and he coughs uncomfortably

"Oh I'm sorry man I mean I knew you guys were friends I just didn't know you claimed her" He says nervously

"Yeah well I do, so did you think I was really gonna let you take out my girl like nothing?" I ask and he shakes his head no rapidly

"Good, so what are you gonna do about this?" I ask him

"Cancel" he says quickly

"Finally you get it, Better yet don't, just don't even show up" I tell him

"Just stand her up?" He asks in shock

"You heard me" I say and he just nods

"And if I see you anywhere near her, talking to her or even looking at her, you're dead. Are we clear?" I growl

"Yeah man of course" he stammers in fear

"Good boy, see you around James" I say patting the top of his head mockingly before walking away.

Told you I'd fix it.

Later that night
"Aiden?" Elle's voice asks through the phone along with sniffling

"Elle? What's going on?" I ask sitting up on my bed

"Ugh stupid James stood me up, could you come get me please?" She asks

The guy made the right decision.

"Of course Elle, where are you?" I ask

"At the movies on third street, and hurry it's freezing" She says

"Okay I'm on my way" I say before hanging up

Time to go get my girl.

"I can't believe he stood me up! What a prick" Elle growls while buckling her seat belt with a scowl on her face

God she's so beautiful.

"He doesn't deserve you anyways Elle" I reassure her before beginning to drive

"I just don't understand why he'd ask me out and then just not show up, like what was the point?" She asks frustratedly

"Cause he's an asshole, but don't worry I'll take care of it" I lie

Kinda already did.

"No no Gray you will do no such thing just leave it" she tells me sternly

"Okay fine" I say

"I mean it" she says

"I won't do anything I promise" I tell her and she nods

"So am I taking you home?" I ask her

Please say no.

"Do you think I could sleep at your place? My house is empty and I don't wanna be alone" She says

She didn't even need to ask.

"Of course you can" I tell her before going to the direction of my apartment

"Great, but first can we stop at McDonald's? I'm starving" she says making me laugh and I nod and go through the drive through

"I wan- She says before I cut her off

"I know what you want" I tell her before ordering her usual ten piece chicken nugget meal with a large coke.

"You remembered my order?" She asks in shock

"Of course" I say with a smile and she returns it

When we finally get to the window to pay I pull out my wallet only for Elle to shove a twenty dollar bill at me

"Nuh uh I got it" I say placing it back on her lap

"What? No Gray you always pay, let me" She say whines but I hold my ground and hand the cashier my card

"You suck" she groans shoving her money back in her bag

"Just shut up and thank me" I say with a smile

"Fine thank you" She says rolling her eyes but with a smile

After getting our food I drive to my apartment and we quickly get out and head inside

"Before we eat do you think I can borrow some clothes?" She asks

"Yeah here" I say passing her one of my shirts and a pair of my boxers and she goes to go change

But when she comes out I was close to fainting

Her long dark brown hair was down her back all the way down to her butt in loose waves, she was wearing my light blue t-shirt that went all the way down to her mid thigh making it impossible to see the boxers underneath and if you look closely you can see the subtle hint of naked breasts

She looked fucking stunning.

"I uh um ready to eat?" I ask in a shaky voice

"Duh" She says turning around and walking to the table and I get a glimpse of her ass

God damn.

"Aren't you gonna join me?" She asks taking a seat on the stool and I just nod not trusting my voice before sitting on a stool across from her and we begin eating in silence

"So how's your mom?" She asks me nervously and I sigh

"She's not mad at you Elle" I tell her

"I know it's just I hate knowing she's upset cause of me" she says with a frown

"She's only Upset cause you're leaving, it's not like you intentionally did something to hurt her"

"I know it's just I don't know.."

"Look" I say taking her hand in mine and her brown eyes snap to my green ones

"My mom absolutely adores you. Just give her time to process the news, okay?" I ask and she nods slowly before we slowly separate our hands and continue eating in silence.
