Chapter 6

"Hey Gray" I say to Grayson while approaching him sitting at a table eating fries but he just nods at me and continues eating

"Ugh come on Gray how long are you gonna be mad?" I ask with a dramatic huff sitting across from him

"I'm not mad" he says simply and I scoff

"I'm not stupid Aiden, don't take me for a fool" I say quoting what he said to Lucas yesterday

"I know you're not, but seriously it's fine I don't need to be butting in all the time when it's none of my business" he says and I sigh

"It's not that I didn't appreciate it cause I do I so do but sometimes I need to fight my own battles" I explain

"I understand" he says quietly

"So are we good?" I ask him and he nods with a small smile before offering me some of his fries

"No thanks" I say putting my hand up

"So I also wanted to ask you something" I say catching his attention immediately

"Which is?" He asks

"Can you come over to my house after school? I really need someone to help take apart and pack my brothers bed" I say and he frowns

"You're already packing?" He asks

"Well yeah we've been, its only two more months till we leave" I say

"Right, yeah I'll be there" he says softly making me smile

"Thanks Gray, you're the best" I say kissing his cheek and he blushes

"Anything for you" he says now making me smile

"Okay I'll see you then" I say with a wave and continue on with the rest of my school day.

Later That Day
"Ugh this fucking sucks" I groan falling back onto my couch

"You haven't even helped" Gray says rolling his eyes at me

"Yeah yeah shut up" I say and he just smiles but continues packing up the pieces of my brothers bed

"Ugh thank you so much for helping me I don't know what I'd do without you" I say to Gray while throwing my arms around his neck pulling him Into a hug

"Screw up everything" he says with a chuckle while wrapping his arms around my waist

"Shut up" I say with a smile pushing him away and he burst into laughter

"I'm hungry, wanna order pizza?" I ask and he nods

After ordering our usual pizza I join him on the couch

"So once you get to Vegas what's the plan?" He asks taking a bite of his pizza and I shrug

"Find a job I guess" I reply and he nods

"You'll come visit me right?" I ask him turning to look at him

"Of course Elle" He says making me smile

"Sometimes I wish you and Kim could come with me" I say with a frown and he smiles

"You'd want that?" He asks

"Of course, I love you guys more than anything" I say honestly and he takes my hand in his before looking into my eyes

"I love you too Elle" he says softly rubbing his thumb against the back of my hand and heart rate immediately picks up

Something about the way he said it made it seem different.

But I just give him a smile and kiss him on the cheek before we continue eating the pizza and watching Friends for the rest of the night just enjoying each other's company.
