I got one of these ideas from ShadowWolf_42 (Thx by the way, for the idea and for commenting on my stuff.)

I started writing this on the first night of Hanukkah, so happy Hanukkah :). Also, if you want to read another story of mine, It's on my profile. It's called The Family You Choose and I'm really proud of it. Okay Here's the chapter.

The doorbell rang. Inej, who was sitting next to Nina on the couch, bolted upright. "I think they're here. I'll check the door." Nina grinned as Inej left in a hurry. She'd never seen Inej so nervous in her life! Nina hunkered down under her blanket and sniffed the air. Popcorn was usually the choice people made for movies, but the scent Nina was smelling was waffles.

Inej came back into the living room, Kaz in tow. His heavy metal cane was thumping on the hardwood floor, making a terrible racket.

"You're parents aren't home, are they?" He rasped.

"No, they're not. Some water, dear?"

"Very funny, Zenik."

She smirked, proud of herself. Nina turned back to the TV, the clicker (That's what I call the remote) in hand.

"Hey Kazzy can you help me with this?" She asked, "'A New Hope' costs $4.99 and I don't want to pay."

Kaz responded, "Wait till Wylan gets here. The little bastard knows more about electronics than we give him credit for." (I wanted Wylan to be good at electronics instead of bombs because I didn't want him blowing up the school.) That surprised Nina. That was the closest thing to a compliment than she had ever heard Kaz say. And for Wylan, no less. Nina had always thought that the first person Kaz would compliment would be Inej. Guess I was wrong.

The doorbell rang again, followed by a lot of knocking. "Who else but Jesper?" Nina sang, as she stood up to answer the door. "I got it." Jesper was, indeed, at the door. Accompanied by Wylan. That didn't surprise Nina. She totally shipped them.

"Hi, guys!" Nina said. "I made some waffles if you want some."

"Great!" Jesper said, stepping confidently past Nina and into her house. However, Wylan stayed by the entrance. He seemed unsure where to put his hands, unsure if he should walk in or not. Wylan had never been to Nina's house, so it was self-explanatory why he was acting so shy.

"Should I come in or..."

"Yeah, come in, Wy. Make yourself at home."

"Thanks, Nina." Wylan tentatively stepped past the threshold and was greeted with a steaming plate of waffles.

"They were in the kitchen," Jesper explained, stuffing his face with food. Nina had to laugh at that. Jesper was one of her best friends, and always managed to make her giggle.

Kaz, who was stone faced as always, immediately turned toward Wylan. "Wylan, help Nina with the TV."

"What's the magic word, Kaz?" Nina asked, playfully.

"Abracadabra. Just get your ass over here, Wylan." Saints, what a prick. Although Nina was annoyed by Kaz, she couldn't stop smiling. She loved it when all the crows were together. That's what they called themselves, by the way. The crows.

Wylan grabbed the clicker from Kaz as Nina grabbed a waffle (or two) from Jesper. Saints, she loved waffles. The only problem was that Nina couldn't relax until her final guest arrived. And he was taking foreeeever!

The doorbell rang one last time. Everyone immediately shutted up.

Kaz said, dangerously low, "I didn't think we were expecting anyone else."

"Yeah, well, we are," Nina responded, and sashayed to the door. She was greeted by a certain tall Fjerdan. "Matthias! Come on in. Meet my friends." He ducked inside.

"Hi. I'm Matthias."

"Yes, we know," Wylan squeaked. "I almost hit you with my locker door, remember?" Mattie nodded. He held his hand out to Jesper.

"You seem less dangerous than the pale one over there."

"Yeah, that's true," Jesper said. "I'm Jesper. The 'pale one' is Kaz, and the one who almost hit you is Wylan. The small one is Inej," That got a look from Inej "and I see you're already acquainted with Nina?"

"Yes. So. when are we starting the movie?"

*****After the movie(s)*****

"So you're telling me that you don't know," Jesper snickered. "What the birds and the bees are?"

Kaz flushed the most that Nina had ever seen him flush. "Jesper, shut up."

The six crows were sitting around the carpet playing truth or dare. It was Kaz's turn, and things were not going very well for him.

Inej smiled. "Would you like me to explain?"

Nina cackled. "Now that's my girl!"

"Oh, Djel no," Matthias said, shuddering. That got a laugh out of everyone. Even Kaz, who let himself have a little chuckle.  His eyes went to the electric clock underneath the TV and he swore under his breath. Kaz grabbed his cane and got into a standing position.

"I have to go."

Jesper laughed. "Oh, does wittle Kazzy have a wittle curfew?"

Even while laughing, Wylan came to Kaz's defense. "Shut up, Jesper! Curfew's not a joke. One time, I came home after curfew, and--"

Kaz cut him off. "I don't have time for one of your stories, Wylan. I'll see you all later. okay?" The door slammed behind him, leaving everyone in silence.

Saints, what a prick.

Sorry, the ending there was pretty weird. I was just improvising and... that happened. So anyway it's really late and I have school tomorrow. This was a pretty long part as well, I'm really proud of that.

I'll write more when I can, yeah? And don't forget to read my other story, The Family You Choose! Kay bye now.
