I wake up to a splash of water in my face. Caleb laughs at me with a bucket in his hands. "Caleb!" I scream his name. I throw a pillow at him and I get out of bed. "Time to get up Beatrice! " He laughs as he walks downstairs. I shut the door behind him and I walk into my shower.

I hop out of the shower and I wrap myself into a towel. I skip over into my walk-in closet. I try to find a perfect outfit for my first day at this new school. When I find an outfit, I walk into my bathroom and I start to get dressed. I put on my white blouse with a black collar, and my flowy black skirt that stops a little above my knee. I clean my face, then I start to put on simple makeup consisted of foundation, powder, blush, winged eyeliner, mascara, and a nude pink lipstick. I brush my hair into a loose side braid.

I throw on my black flats and I walk out of my room. When I walk out of my room and I greet my parents downstairs. "Hello mom and dad," I say with a smile. "Good morning Beatrice, are you nervous?" I shake my head at my mom, "Were you?" She smiled, "No, I was terrified." I let out a laugh and I grab a muffin and I sling my backpack over one of my shoulders. "Bye mom and dad, I love you," I say as I wave goodbye. "Caleb hurry up or I'm gonna leave without you!" He runs downstairs and runs out to my car. He jumps into the passenger's seat and I walk out the door.

I open the car door and I hop in, throwing my backpack into the backseat.

The ride to school is pretty short, and when we arrive, I'm amazed. This place is huge! When I get out of my car, I walk to my backseat and I grab my book bag, but as I shut my door, I bump into a girl with brown hair and mocha skin. "Sorry," I barely stutter out, "It's fine, I'm Christina," she says while reaching out her hand. "Beatrice," I tell her as I shake her hand. "That's not a good name for a school like this, you need a short name, like a nickname." I smile, "What about Tris?" She smiles and nods. We walk into the office, then she leaves me in there alone. "Hello, I need my schedule please." The woman smiles and hand me a paper, "Here you go, enjoy your first day." I smile and I walk out to my locker. I have locker number 426, which is right next to my first hour. When I get there, there's a boy and a girl making out on my locker.

"Excuse me? Can you move your moment else where?" I stand there with my arms crossed. They break off each other then they go separate ways, but I catch a glimpse of the boy, his mesmerizing blue eyes and dark brown hair.

I grab my math book and I walk into the door next to my locker. I find a seat in the back of the class next to a blonde haired girl and a blonde hair boy with celery green eyes on my other side.

I smile at the boy when he sees me and he smiles back. I look straight forward and I see the girl who was making out with the boy with the blue eyes.

The rest of the day is a blur until the last period bell rings. I get up and I head to my car. Caleb is staying after school to do some stupid experiment. I drive home and when I get there I see that boy with the blue eyes walking towards the house next to mine. He whips out a key and walks inside. I stare at the door for awhile but I walk into my house after I snap out of my haze.

I walk in and my parents aren't home. They usually aren't home, My dad works for the government and my mom runs a nationwide charity fund.

I walk up to my room and I lay face first into my bed. I stand up and I walk into the kitchen and I grab a muffin. My father walks in as soon as I take my first bite of my muffin. "How was your first day of school?" "Good, how was your day at work?" He nods, "It was fine, just a normal day." We stand there in silence for awhile until he breaks the silence. "Where's your brother?"

"At some stupid experiment at school, he said he'd get a ride from his friend Justin." He nods his head and walks into his office. I walk back into my room I get onto my computer. I scroll around my social networks until I see something in the corner of my eye. I look out my window and I see a man with a belt in is hands. He lashes the belt at a boy kneeling down with his hands in his face.

The man stares at me and walks over to the window, but I see the boy look at me, his eyes pleading for help. I stand stiff in my place, my eyes wide and my mouth open. The boy with the stunning blue eyes...

The man quickly closes the curtain and I just stand there. I shake my head, who would do that? I just need to sleep, but the boys pleading blue eyes burn into my memory, and I can't fall asleep. I think about the day though, Christina, and the other people I met, I think there names are Will, Lynn, Marlene, Al, and Shauna. They're all really nice and I can't wait to become better friends with them, and with that, I drift off into a deep sleep.
