I wake up with the memories flooding back into my mind. After our kiss last night, I don't know what Tobias and I are.

I stand up and I walk to my my closet. I pick out a black tank top and a black skirt.

I hop into my shower then I change into my outfit. I pull my hair into a bun and I quickly do my makeup.

My parents nor Caleb aren't home. Caleb is at a science convention and my parents are on a business trip and I'm kind of glad they aren't. I grab a muffin and I slip on my flats. I grab my booking and I walk out the door.

I'm about 30 minutes early to school so I sit on the bench outside. I grab a book out of my bag and I begin reading.

I'm in the middle of a sentence when I feel a tap on my shoulder. I put my bookmark where I left off, “What do you want?” I turn around and I see Tobias. “Why good morning to you too,” he says with a laugh. “Sorry, I didn't know it was you, ” I say, then I begin to trail off. He has a bruise on his jaw and his arms. “It's fine, can I sit?” He gestures to the bench where my book bag is. I nod and I begin to move my bag. “So about last night,” he scratches his neck, “Would you want to be my, um, girlfriend?” I start to blush and I nod. I lean forward and I begin to kiss him, and he kisses back. “But my father doesn't want me speaking to you, neither does your father. We talked when I was about to leave.” “Oh,” is all I manage to get out. “But I really want to be with you, and I'm not going to let him get in the way of that.” I nod my head and he kisses my cheek.

“Did he hurt you? I mean your father...” He nods his head. “ I'm so sorry, I never meant for that to happen.”  “Like I said, I'm glad you stood up for me.”

I fake a smile and I grab my book bag. People are starting to arrive so I shove my book into my bag and I stand up. “I'll see you later Tris,” he says as he walks in the building.

Lunch

When I get out of line I see Tobias motioning me forwards his table with Zeke and Uriah. Marlene and Shauna are also there so I'm not the only girl.

As I walk to their table, I see Christina give me a questioning look, so I give her the 'I'll tell you later' look, then she nods. The girls sit across from their boyfriends. As I sit down, Uriah take the plate of cake on my tray, “Hey! Get your own cake,” I jokingly yell. He mimics me and continues to eat my cake. “While it looks like I'm not eating.” Tobias kisses my cheek and I get up and I put my tray away.

When I sit back down Tobias smiles at me, and I smile back at him. We stare at each other for awhile. Until I break it off by looking at Christina. Her and Will are kissing like usual. I turn back to see Shauna and Zeke kissing as well. Tobias and I both look around and laugh.

“You do know we won't me able to see each other when our parents are home,” he says as he grabs my hand over the table. “Good thing my parents and your dad are on a government trip until next week, and Caleb's at some science fair in L.A.” He smiles, “My place?” I nod and I kiss his cheek. He smiles and we stand up, walking to English.

When I get to my house, I park my car and I head over to Tobias's house. When I get there, I knock on the door, and he opens the door shirtless. I start to blush then he kisses my cheek. He opens the door and gestures me in. When I walk in, I'm amazed, It feels so much bigger than my home. He puts his arm around my shoulder, “Do you want to go up to my room?” I nod my head and he leads me to his room. But one thing grabs my attention, his tattoo. It covers his whole back, the five core values. We're expected to follow only one of them, why does he have all of them?

When we get to his room, I sit on his bed. His walls are black with 'fear god alone' written on one of his walls. He sits on his bed next to me, we sit there in silence. “What's your tattoo?” I blurt this out to break the silence. He looks at me and smiles then turns his back so I can see it.

“It's amazing, why did you get it?” “I first got it to cover up the scars Marcus gave to me, now it's to show that I'm brave, selfless, honest, smart, and kind.”

“It's amazing,” I say as I trace the tattoo with my finger. “Just like you,” I start to blush when he tells me that. I lean into him and I kiss him passionately, and he kisses back. He starts to kiss my neck and sucks on my skin. I moan his name against his ear.

I gently push him off me, “I'm sorry, I'm just not ready.” He nods, “I'll wait until you're ready,” then he kisses my cheek.

I feel a smile creep across my face.

“Tris?”

“Yeah?”

“I think I might be in love with you.”

“I know I'm in love with you Tobias.”

The he kisses me passionately then we roll and I'm on top of him. I kiss his cheek, then I lay down next to him. I kiss him once more, then I drift asleep.
