Not Dead

Chapter 3

Ding dong
"That'll be the pizza!" Connor exclaimed surging up from the couch, "un segundo mi amigo!" And then he was off, grabbing the money on the coffee table and darting to the door. He made some small talk with the pizza delivery guy, who looked as dead inside as Connor felt half the time, and inelegantly plonked them on the coffee table. "One for you," he said, picking one up and passing it to Evan who was sat there in awe of Connor, "and one for me," he said unceremoniously opening the box up, grabbing a slice and shoving it in his mouth, making a sound of pleasure.

"This is good pizza!" He exclaimed, "where's it from because I'm definitely going there again." He said his mouth still full with food before shoving more pizza in. "A place called Guilo's," Evan replied after swallowing part of his pizza slice, more civilised than Connor was being, "my Mom's favourite pizza place so it's already in the house phone." Evan shrugged and the two continued eating in comfortable silence.

The silence was broken by Connor asking if Evan had any movies to watch, "Yeah they're on that shelf, sorry if they're lame.." he replied, trailing off. Connor jumped up and walked over. He scanned the bookshelf and his face lit up, "You have the original Star Wars trilogy before the CGI, the original original!?" Evan nodded his head enthusiastically, surprised that an edge lord like Connor would like Star Wars.

Five minutes later the two of them were sat watching the opening scrawl, Connor buzzing from excitement and Evan gazed at him adoringly, wondering how someone so seemingly harsh and cold could be this adorable.

"You got any pop?" Connor asked, turning to Evan who just stared at him confused. "What's pop?" Evan asked, realisation seeped into Connor's face. "I mean soda!" He said after trying to find the word, "I've been living in England remember, they called it pop where I was." Evan giggled at this, 'he fucking giggles' Connor thought. "Yeah we've got soda. It's on the fridge in the kitchen," he said, pointing at the archway into a small homey kitchen. "Rodger that!" Connor fake saluted at Evan before standing up and in less than a minute he was back with a glass of Cola as well as one for Evan.

"In England they have fizzy lemonade. Like their lemonade is just fizzy clear stuff, like 7up without Limes," Connor said, sipping his drink. Evan giggled again when Connor recoiled as the fuzz when up his nose a bit.

Half way through the second film Connor was buzzing from the 4 glasses of cola he'd drunk and the candy Evan had got for them to eat.
