~Rainbow Steve's POV~
I pack my things up and get ready to head to collage. I already went through being a Freshman once from Highschool, I don't want to have to go through that again. But I have to.
I already signed up. A soft sigh comes from my mouth as I continue to pack up everything I will need for my dorm room. Not only do I have to leave home, I have to share my dorm with other people! "Rainbow Steve! You almost ready?" My father shouts from the bottom of the stairs.
"Yeah dad, I'm coming!" I shout back before stuffing my favorite shirt in my suitcase. This is the last time I will see my room for a while, I'm gonna miss this place. My dad shouting from the bottom of the stairs, threatening to not take me snaps me back into reality so I scurry across the room and grab my bag. I put my rainbow hat and rainbow jacket on before I sling my backpack on my right shoulder. I drag my suitcase down out of the room and down the stairs. My father moves out of the way as I go down the stairs and once I get to where my bag is faster than me I am in the solid ground. "You ready, son?" He asks and then I nod.
"Goodbye mom!" I shout before walking out the door, not even waiting for her response. Dad opens the trunk of the car and then I put my luggage down in there. My phone buzzes in my pocket as I walk to the car door. I pull the phone out of my pocket to see that my best friend Blue Steve texted me.
***
Blue~ Hey Rainbow Steve! Excited for the first day of collage?
Me~ If you mean dreading my life for the next few years, then yes; totally excited
Blue~ Haha, very funny. Let's just hope we can get the same room
Me~ Yeah, I don't wanna room with some stranger.
Blue~ Same, anyways I got to go, I'll see you there!
Me~ Alright, see ya' then

I smile softly as I sit down in the car and relax into the seat. Dad gets in the car and I put my seatbelt on. Dad buckles himself and then starts the car.
I pull my headphones out of my jean pockets and then plug them into my phone. I start playing some music, and wait for us to arrive at my new collage.

Dad pulls into the closest open parking spot to the building. He presses the button to open the trunk of the car and then I get out to grab my bags. I sling my leather backpack strap over my shoulder once again then pull the suitcase back out. "So, you just got to go register, and find your room. You shouldn't have classes for a day or two to unpack; but I got to go now. See you at your next break!" My dad says and then starts the car again. I sigh as he drives away and then I start to walk into the building.

"Hello, sir! Are you new here?" A friendly lady asks me from the front desk. I shyly nod and she just smiles. She comes hands a plain colored folder to me before gesturing towards a hallway with doors at each side. "Your dorm room should be down that hallway, room 13," she says with a smile and I nod weakly. I open the boring looking folder to see a sheet of paper with the name of my roommate. I close my eyes for a moment. I'm so nervous, what if it isn't Blue Steve?
I slowly open my eyes and look at the sheet. It's says Blue Steve! Yay!
I continue to walk to my new room, and I unlock the door with the room key and then fling the door open. I see Blue Steve unpacking, and he seemed to jump when I came in.
"Rainbow Steve! Oh my gosh it's so good to see you in person again! I haven't seen you in forever!" (Dang, stop acting like teenage girls) Blue Steve explains and then hugs me tight. I hug back and I enjoy the hug, I mean; who wouldn't enjoy a hug from their best friend?
"I missed you too Blue Steve. Anyways, I need to start unpacking," I say and then notice there is not two beds, not three; but four beds!
I pull out the folder and look at the sheet of paper with my roommates, and that's when I notice it has two other names too. Shark, and Sabre. Dang it, but at least I still have Blue Steve in my room with me. That's when a knock comes apon the door.
Blue Steve goes to the door and opens it to see a guy in a shark onesie walk in with a bunch of stuff. "Hi guys! You must be my roommates! I'm Shark, what about you?" This guy, Shark, says. Blue Steve shakes hands with him and then starts to talk. "I'm Blue Steve and this is my best friend Rainbow Steve!" He explains excitedly.
I walk over and place my stuff on the bottom bunk of one of the beds, under the one with Blue Steve's stuff.
"Nice to meet you," Shark says with a smile and I just nod. I'm not really much of a talker, and so that's why people get surprised that Blue Steve is my friend. Blue Steve is always so happy and excited, while I am just 'meh' about everything. I'm quite shy, and then there is Blue Steve who is outgoing. We're complete opposites.
"He doesn't talk that much, he's shy," Blue Steve explains to Shark when he notices the disappointment across his face. "Oh, okay then. That's fine. Anyways, I wonder when Sabre is going to be here," Shark asks and I just shrug. Blue Steve does the same thing, before pausing and thinking. "Wait, do you know Sabre?" He questions and Shark simply nods. Why is Shark wearing sunglasses? The room isn't that bright.
Shark throws his bags on his bunk, the top bunk and right after our last roommate comes in. "Hey man, how was your summer?" The last guy asks Shark, seeming completely oblivious of mine and Blue Steve's presence.
Wait, did he have something over his eyes? What is going on? Why does everyone have something covering their eyes? Sabre is wearing all green and gray, and when he turns around I see a gray bandana tied around his eyes. So that answers the question of what he had over his eyes. "Oh hey dudes, didn't see you there. I'm Sabre, and I'm guessing you met Shark," Sabre says and Blue Steve smiles.
"I'm Blue Steve, and that's Rainbow Steve," Blue Steve says and then gestures towards me. Why must he always put me on the spot? "Hey," I simply say and wave. Blue Steve smiles at me. It's not the smile that he was showing to Sabre and Shark; it's one that he has only done towards me. The one he's always done to me; his best friend. His bro. His best bud.
We've called each other so many things along those lines I can't even remember them all.
"Great, now that we all know each other, we should start unpacking and get ready for having school in a few days. Also, we should do something to get to know one another better so we don't start ripping each other's throats out by the end of the week," Shark says and Sabre nods. If they are friends, then why would Sabre agree to needing to get to know each other more? These two make no sense.
This is going to be a long year...
