~Blue Steve's POV~

I walk out of the school building, five days to just me and my family. Plus Rainbow Steve and his family, if they come over once and a while. My mom and dad both wave at me as I walk out, trying to flag me over to our car. I grin, walking towards the car, and then sling by bags into the car trunk. "Hey Blue Steve! How's collage been?" my mom asks me, and I just shrug.

"It's been nice being in dorm room and all, but classes have been boring," I say, making my dad chuckle. "Have you been falling asleep less than the past few years?" he asks me, and I giggle softly. "I mean, I only fall asleep in the class after lunch, but Rainbow Steve always catches me up on what happened during that class later in the day," I explain, and my dad nods. I get in the back seat of the car, while my mom and dad get in the front seats.

My dad starts the car, and as soon as we're all buckled up we head down the road.

Me, mom, and dad all talk about random things as dad takes us towards home, and I also text Rainbow Steve. "So sweetie, how's Rainbow Steve been doing?" my mom asks me, and I smile. I look up from my phone, and look at my mom as I debate on telling her that me and Rainbow Steve kissed or not. "He's doing great, we've somehow managed to get even closer!" I say, giggling, and my mom smiles.

"That's good! Having a best friend who's always there for you is something everyone needs, because you know that they will help pick you back up during the times you feel like falling down; and you'll do the same for them," (Deep enough, Blue Steve's mom? XD) my mom explains and I nod. I look back at my phone, seeing Rainbow Steve responded to my text.

***

Rainbow- Hey Blue Steve!

Me- How's being at home again feel?

Rainbow- I mean, honestly, it feels kinda lonely not having you, Shark, or Sabre.

Me- Aww, but I thought you didn't trust Shark and Sabre?

Rainbow- I'm starting to slowly let my walls down some enough to let them in, but it's hard, y'know?

Me- I totally understand, though I'm always open to let more people in my life; I know how untrusting you are with most people, especially after... what happened

Rainbow- Yeah... Anyway, how's being with your parents again?

Me- It's awesome! I love catching up with them!

Rainbow- You really do love them, don't you?

Me- Of course! About as much as I love you~

Rainbow- Dang it Blue Steve, now I'm blushing!

Me- Yay!

Rainbow- I'll get you back for that one day, and you'll be sorry

Me- I bet

Rainbow- Welp, I got to go eat lunch with my parents, I'll talk to you later!

Me- Alright!

***

I turn of my phone as soon as he leaves, and when I look up, I see we're already back in town. "Woah, things have changed since I last been here," I say, though it's only been a few weeks. My dad chuckles, nodding.

"They've been doing a lot of remodeling recently, and the Yellow Steve's have been coming along pretty good with it for the little bit of time they had," my dad explains, and I nod. The theater looks completely different, the park has tons of new things in it, and there is even a new restaurant!  I continue to stare at the new restaurant in fascination, and my parents must've noticed because they pull into the parking lot.

"This just opened yesterday actually," my dad says, and then turns the ignition off. I grin, and me and my parents walk into the building. Turns out, this place was some fancy restaurant, where they make us sit down at the table and all the waiters are wearing suits. My dad rolls his eyes as the waiter comes over to us, the waiters green hair not going with the suit at all.

"Hello, I'm Green Steve, and I'll be your waiter for this wonderful evening. May I take your order?" he asks, pulling out a notepad and pen. We all order different things, me getting some fettuccine and water, my mom getting some chicken alfredo with Sprite, and my dad getting some steak and Pepsi. The man grins, and then walks away towards where I am guessing the kitchen is.

Me and my parents talk as we sit inside the booth we were told to sit at, waiting for the food to come. Not long after, the waiter comes out with our drinks, and then tells us it's going to be a few minutes until the food is ready. We bid him goodbye, and continue to talk about random things in our life from recently.  After about ten or so minutes, the waiter comes out carrying plates, and places them in front of us.

"Is there anything else you might need?" he asks, placing the napkins and silverware next to our plates. "No thank you, sir," I say and he nods, before walking away. We all dig into the food, each one of us enjoying the food we choose. Though, the fettuccine isn't as good as the kind Sabre makes, I still enjoy the food.

***

After me and my parents finish the food, we walk pay for the food, then walk back to the car. We get in, and then finally start driving back towards our house. It's already dark, and seeing as I'm not wearing my blue hoodie, I shiver. Too bad Rainbow Steve isn't here... I say to myself, already missing seeing my best friend's smiling face.

It wasn't too long until we finally got back to the house finally, pulling into the garage with the bright headlights shining onto the wall. We all get out when the car stops, and my dad opens the trunk where I get my bags.

Me and mom walk into the house while dad continues to do a few random things in the garage. "I'm going to head to my room, I'm feeling a little tired.." I say to my mom and she smiles. "Alright Blue Steve, I'll have breakfast made in the morning," my mom says, making me smile. "Thanks mom, you're the best," I say and hug her, before running up the stairs with my bag.

I put my stuff down on the floor, and turn the lights off in my room. I pull the blanket over my head, and then pull my phone out, letting the only light I have be from the bright light of my phone. Opening messages, I send a simple, How are you? to Rainbow Steve. Within a minute, he messages me back.

***

Rainbow- Good, you?

Me- A little tired, but other than that; good.

Rainbow- That's good. But if you're tired, you should go to bed, I can come by tomorrow and we can hang out then.

Me- Nah, I'll be fine.

Rainbow- Blue...

Me- I want to talk to you though!

Rainbow- Go look out your window

Me- Okay..?  Doesn't sound creepy at all...

***

I put my phone down, and slowly crawl out of bed. I make my way to my window, and when I look out, I see Rainbow Steve standing in the window with a sign that in all capital letters, says GO TO BED!

I chuckle from it, and he smiles softly at me. "But seriously, go to bed, I'll come over tomorrow," he says loud enough for me to hear but not loud enough to wake up his parents who are clearly asleep. "Fine..." I sigh, and then make a heart out of my hands for him. A slight blush is on his face, making me giggle, before he does the same. "Goodnight Blue Steve..." he says.

"Goodnight Rainbow Steve! I'll talk to you tomorrow!" I say and then close my window.

~Rainbow Steve's POV~

"Goodnight Blue Steve..." I say softly, smiling weakly at him.

"Goodnight Rainbow Steve! I'll talk to you tomorrow!" he says and then closes his window. "I love you..." I say the second the window closes, making it almost impossible for him to have heard me.

I groan, and then get in bed before going to bed for the night.
