Chapter 19

I'm back-- I feel like crap, but oh well. Let's update! There is some cussing in this one, as well as someone getting drunk, so heads up- If you don't like things like cussing, as well as drinking, don't read

The next morning...

I wake up, grass cradling my body and Blue Steve's arms draped over my body. My phone continues to buzz in my pocket, making me slowly wake up more. 

I sleepily pull it out of my pocket, turning my phone on and entering my password into the device. I open text messages,  just to see a bunch of texts from both my parents and Blue Steve's parents. 

"Where are you guys!?"  - My mom - 9 hours ago

"Rainbow Steve? Answer me! Just tell me where you are sweetheart!" - My mom - 45 minutes ago

"Damnit! Where are you son?!" - My dad - 30 minutes ago

"Your mother is worried sick! Get your sorry ass home, now!" - My dad - 28 minutes ago

"Answer me now, or you're grounded!" - My dad - 10 minutes ago

"That's it, you're grounded young man!" - My dad - Just now

I take a deep breath, and then immediately start to shake Blue Steve to try to wake him up. "Rainbow Steve? What's going on?" Blue Steve asks me groggily, and I just groan. 

"We fell asleep, and both of our parents are freaking the fuck out!" I shout, and just from me cursing, Blue Steve immediately starts to be wide awake. I hold my phone out for him to see, and his eyes widen. 

He grabs all of his things quickly, pulling his phone out to see just about as many text's as I had. We both start running towards our houses, and I'm fumbling with my phone as I text my mom. 

"I'm sorry mom! Me and Blue Steve fell asleep last night in the forest, and we just woke up!" - Me - Just now

I shake my head, my own house coming into my view as I get closer. "I got to go Blue Steve, I'll talk to you later!" I shout, and he nods. "I love you!" I say, kissing his cheek and then continuing to run to my house until I get to the door. 

As soon as I get there, I go to open the door; just to be pulled in the house by my mother. "Rainbow Steve! There you are! I was worried sick about you!" she shouts, pulling me into a tight hug. I hug her back, trying to comfort her the best I can. 

"Where were you!?" my dad shouts as he walks down the stairs, a belt in his hands. 

"M-Me and Blue Steve were hanging out l-last night, and we must've fallen a-asleep!" I say, and anger is in my father's eyes. 

"Lies!" he shouts, throwing the belt down to the ground. I jump back from the loud sound. My mom comforts me, somewhat shielding me with her body. 

"I'm not lying!" I yell back, tears threatening to free them self from my eyes. 

"Then what the fuck is this!?" my dad yells, holding his phone out with my facebook profile on it, showing the "Taken!" part on it. I bite my bottom lip, not knowing what to say. It's not like I can just say I'm gay, alright!? 

Tears finally get the best of me, rushing down my face and rolling down my cheek. 

Then, my mom looks at me with tears in her eyes as well, before opening the door and pushing me out it. "Run, Rainbow Steve! Run!" she shouts, and I run like she told me to. 

That's when I realize it. 

My dad has been drinking last night.

~Blue Steve's POV~

"Blue Steve? Son? Where are you? You haven't been at home all day!" - My dad - 7 hours ago

"Do you know where Rainbow Steve is???" - Rainbow's mom - 6 hours ago

"What the hell have you done to him!?" - Rainbow's dad - 5 hours ago

"Son? Are you okay? Where are you?" - Mom - 5 hours ago

"Why the fuck are neither of you answering!?" - Rainbow's dad - 4 hours ago

"Where the fuck are you and my son!?!" - Rainbow's dad - 55 minutes ago

My phone is blown up with tons of texts like that from Rainbow Steve's dad and everyone else, and I just sigh. I continue to run towards my house as Rainbow Steve gets pulled into his house. 

I knock on the door, seeing as I forgot my key last night; and both my parents open the door. They both hug me tight, tears in their bright blue eyes. 

"Where were you?" my mother asks me, hugging me even tighter. "Me and Rainbow Steve were hanging out in the woods, and we fell asleep. I'm so sorry for worrying you..." I say to both of them, and they nod. 

"I understand," my dad says, placing his hand on my shoulder. "Me and your mother did the same thing when we were dating," he says, taking me by complete surprise. I look up at my dad, pure shock in my eyes. 

"Y-You know..?" I ask them both, and they nod. 

"We know you're gay, son..." my mom says, hugging me. I cry as well, hugging her tight. 

"We're fine with it, but disappearing on us like that deserves a small punishment," my dad says, patting my back. 

"No phone until you leave back to college again, deal?" he says, and I nod. 

"Thank you..."
