~Rainbow Steve's POV~

It's the day before school starts again, and the day that me and him are going to head back to school. "Ready, boys?" Alex calls from the bottom of the stairs, and I look over at Blue Steve, whom is still asleep like a rock.

I sigh, sitting down in the bed next to him. I packed his bag already, so all that's left to do is getting him awake. "Blue Steve," I say softly, gently shaking him. He's never been one to wake up early, so it's not too surprising. I still have yet to go home myself, but I kinda have to in order to get my stuff and bring it back to college.

"Blue Steve, wake up," I say softly, continuing to shake him. He groans softly, rolling over. I smile, and he rubs his eyes. "Morning, sunshine," I snicker, and he playfully hits my arm.

"Why'd you wake me up?" he groans, sitting up.

"We have to get ready to head back to college," I smile softly at him, and he groans.

"But I'm tireddddd," he pouts.

"We can cuddle once we get there," I add, and he bolts up. I chuckle at his reaction, ruffling his hair. "Your bag is already packed, we just got to go back to my place for a few minutes so I can grab my things, then we can go."

He nods, standing up. He then grabs his hoodie, slipping it on before turning to me. "Ready."

I nod, handing him his bag. We both head downstairs after that, finding Alex waiting at the door. "Morning, boys," she smiles. "Shall we go now?"

We both nod, and she does as well. "I need to stop by my house real quick, if that's fine with you," I say softly to Alex, and she nods.

"Of course, go ahead," she smiles. "We can wait a few minutes."

I nod, running over to my house, since it's just next door and then knocking on my door.  After a minute, mom opens the door, and I bite my lip a bit. "I came to get my stuff," she nods, glancing up at the stairs. "He's asleep, so try to be quiet..." I nod.

I head up the stairs slowly, taking cautious steps to my bedroom. Once in my room, I quickly gather my things.

It doesn't take long, so I start going down the stairs with my bag. "Dad?" I ask, my eyes widening when I see him.

"Ah, Rainbow," he slurs, and I step back. "Why don't you love me, my son?"

"Because you're abusive and always drunk since Light Steve died," I snap.

He roughly pushes me against the wall, and I feel myself hit my head on the wall behind me. "It's still your fault, you little bitch," my dad spats in my face.

"You think I don't know that? I let him go out with his friends, not you," I respond, tears rolling down my face from the memory of that night.

"It should've been you."

My heart sinks from those four words, and I push my father back. I run out of the house, my legs trembling under me as I run with blurred vision. I don't even notice I have my bag still until it hits my knee, and I get to Blue Steve's family's car.

"Rainbow Steve? Are you okay?" Blue Steve asks the second he notices me, getting out of the car and pulling me into a hug.

"I'm sorry..." I whisper.

"It's okay, Rainbow Steve," Alex comes behind us. "If you can, we can get in the car and leave now." I nod gently, putting my bag in the back seat with me before getting in. I lock my door, glancing behind me to see if dad followed me or not. Thankfully he didn't.

"Are you okay, Rainbow?" Blue Steve asks gently to me once we're in the car.

"Y-Yeah," I mumble, rubbing my eyes. "He just brought up... you know who," I say quietly, and Blue Steve nods.

"I'm sorry..."

"It's not your fault," I say sincerely. "I love you."

"I love you too..."

With that, we head back to the college.
