Chapter 16: What a morning.

Gabby's POV.

I close the door behind me. Leaving Emmanuelle in her room with those questions that I can't answer.

I shrugged. Walking down the stairs and headed to the kitchen. I was still on my pajama pants and just a pink fit tank top. I fix my hair into a messy bun.

I popped my head to the counter and saw my Dad and Mom was having their coffee.

"good morning. " I said lazily. I sit beside Dad's chair.

"Good morning darling. " Mom says sweetly.

'good morning'. Dad just muttered and stick his tongue out.

I grab his cup of coffee and sip on it.

"Hey!! That's mine girl. " He whines.

"Darling, Where's your sister? " Mom asked.

I shrugged and cup my face with my hands on the table facing them.

"Mom, Dad... She came on asking it to me again. And I really don't know how to keep this inside for a long time. "

I explained.

Mom & Dad looked at each other and just nod.

"We will let her know but not now. Or if she keep on asking again. Just let us know we will tell her. " Dad said as he put her hand to my shoulder.

Dad's phone rang as he scope it in her pocket. His eyes got big in surprise.

"Oh, it's your Aunt Jenna. " He said.

"Hello? Jonathan? Bro? " Aunt Jenna says on the other line. Dad put his phone on a loudspeaker.

"Hello Aunt Jenn!! Good Morning. " I said enthusiastically.

"Good morning Jenn!!" Mom & Dad said in sync.

"Oh.. is that Gabrielle? She sounds like already a grown up woman there. " She said and chuckled.

"Aunt Jenn.!! " i exclaimed.

I hear her laugh.

"I missed you and looking forward to see you next week. " I said but deep inside a little sad. Cause I'm leaving this town.

"Oh... Yeah.. yeah... I missed you too. "

"Jenna, we'll be there on Monday. But only Emmanuelle with me." Dad said.

"No problem. Important is you're coming and I'm already excited.!! By the way, where's Emmanuelle??"

"I'm here!!! " A voice shouted at the back. We turn to see that Emmanuelle was there sliding towards us.

Aunt Jenna laughs on the other line.

"Aunt Jenn.!!! I'm going there!! See you on Monday. I missed you!! mhuah.!! "

Emman says playfully. as we both chuckled on her behavior.

I looked at her. Earlier she talks like she's really eager to get an answer and now it's like there's no any trace of that emotion she have that time.

Aunt Jenna laugh. " Yeah me too. And I have a friend her that wanted to see you too babes. "

"How about me!!?? " I butt in.

"You both. She's excited to see you two. " Aunt Jenna said and chuckled.

"Okay.. Jenn see you soon. " Mom added.

"Bye guys. I love you. I have to go. I have a duty. " aunt Jenna hung up.

Silence.

We both stares at Emmanuelle while she was getting a bowl and a cereal. And humming a song.

"What? " She questioned.

"Do I have any dirt or something on my face?

"Oh... Nothing babes. You look different today." Dad says furrowing his face.

"Really?" Mom says as she walk closer and examine her face and her temperature.

" Mom!! I'm okay. I'm fine! It's just I don't feel tired or any asthma attack this passing days. " Emmanuelle said as she pushes Mom's hands and pour milk on her bowl with cereal.

Mom and Dad just giggled. As well as Emman laughs also and getting a spoonful of cereal in her mouth. Her crinkled nose everytime she smile and laughs makes her face looks cuter than ever. Just her smile I know mom and dad's tiredness and pressures are gone.

"Babes. Would you go with me? Walking? " I asked Emman. As she nods to me and said.

"Of course. My pleasure your highness. " She said then bow her head.

We both chuckled to her. This was a rare thing that happens to her. 'cause sometimes she's so sick and weak. She don't have energy to act like this, playfully.

I took a spoon and get a spoonful of cereal at Emmanuelle's bowl. She eyed me like 'it's mine' and pull her bowl away from me.

" ah... selfish whenever, whatever " I teased sticking my tongue out.

"Go get yours this is mine. FIONA" She said emphasizing that name.

I get a little annoyed when she tell me that name. I don't like Fiona, I'm not an ogre.

I was attempting to grab her but..

"Ooopps.... That's enough. get your own Gabrielle.?!" Mom butts in.

she giggled. " Ha-ha-ha." having pause in it. " Touchy Gabrielle.? " She added raising her left eyebrow.

"Be thankful Moms saves you! " I whispered as I stand up and get a glass of milk at the fridge.

Dad stands up and headed to the garage. While mom got to go for grocery. I get to my room as well as Emman to change clothes.

I put on my Blue jogging pants and white V. neck t-shirt. and a pair of running shoes.

And Emman wears her red track suit. She wears it everytime we go for a walk or here inside the house when we have nothing to do.

We left the house around 10. It's not that hot outside cause of many trees shading the streets.

Emman bring her bike. So that if she get tired she'll ride on it. And she brings her soccer ball also. She can't stand in along running or walking activity due to her condition.

We walk and headed to the park.
