I wake up it's 8am, I'm facing Ryan, he's fast asleep, I run my fingers through his brownish black hair, and I look at him, he's sleeping like a baby, how cute! Today's my 18th birthday, and I want this day to last forever. I look over at the nightstand, there was the letter, and the box, I layed there, should i open it without Ryan or not?" I decide to open it now, I take the envelope, I rip the top slowly, and i lift the letter out, I unfold it, it reads:
"Dear Ariana,
I'm sorry I have left you alone in the world, the only woman of the house, stuck with your overly protective father, I love him, and I love you too, and to come to your attention you need to know that one day, before, after you turn 18, you will have found a soul mate, I bet he'll explain the rest to you, and yes, you get it from both of us, me and your father, and you will soon find out about Blood Rites I presume, I feel bad as a mother I never got to see you grow up and not be able to hug you everyday, just know, I saw and I still see you grow up till this very day, and so on, I left a present for you, your father and I agreed to give it to you, but ultimately give it to your Mate, he'll know what to do with it, that is all I have to say, I love you Ariana, and I love your father as much as I do, Happy 18th birthday, Life your life to the fullest like I lived mine, before/ and after me and your father and you came into my life, and live longer than me, I love you Ariana. I put the letter down, I take the envelope and I shake it upside down, and the vial pops out, with a red substance inside, I take the cap off and stop for a moment, I don't want to know right now, it's my birthday, I'll do it later, I love you too mom. and I place the vial on the nightstand. Ryan knows nothing of this, I pick up a sharpie from the desk and I write on the box my mom and dad gave to me "Ryan", I pick up the box and set it where I was sleeping, I walk to the closet and I pick out my birthday clothes, I pick a plain black top, and I grab a pair of army green pants, and I get my Allstar kicks, and a towel, and I open the door quietly and slowly, I walk to the shower, and I open the door and I lock it, and then I shower.
After the shower I dry off and then dress, I walk out of the bathroom with my hair blown dry and my makeup done, I carry my shoes to the bedroom, I open the door quietly, I tiptoe into the bedroom, and then I see Ryan's not there. and the box is opened, there's nothing inside, then I see a card on the desk that says "Lily" I grab the card and I start to read it, it says:
"Lily, I went to run some errands, and pick up a birthday gift for you, I'll be back and waiting for you downstairs for breakfast at 11:00."
Well, it's 9:00 now, I might as well take a nap, and wait for Ryan, I lay on the bed, I close my eyes and I fall asleep.
