Wes's POV:
"We need to get to Ryan's house so I can rip out his throat.", I'm furious, she's my mate not his, I'm going to go get her and take her away from him, I love her, but how can she love him? A scrawny alpha with no pack.... She envies weakness, but I'll get her back, it'll just cost me some bruises and cuts....
Ryan's POV:
"Ari I can't wait......" She like looks at me, puzzled by what I said, and she says, "Wait for what? What do you mean? You know I love you and I'd give you anything you'd want as future alpha's beta." I shake my head and I say, "Nevermind.... Just know that I love you too, no matter what happens." She smiles and says, "Can we take this into another room, I need to talk to you privately." I nod and I follow her into the spare room, well, the room our future children will sleep and play in... There's a sofa in there, she sits down and I sit by her, she holds my hand and says, "Ryan, when we get married and rited, I don't want to talk about being an alpha or Beta or anything, and if our children ask, at an appropriate age then we can tell them." I shake my head, and I ask her, "Why?" She looks down and starts to cry, she says after a while, "I just want this to be normal, a true love story, not one I'm forced into." I look down and I say, "You are normal Ariana, I know it's bizarre, but if ulyou love me you would except it." She looks down and a for a long time she says nothing.
Ariana's POV:
After a long time of thinking, I've decided what I wanted to do.... I say, "I love you, but you leave me no choice but to say...." He still is looking down, I keep going, "to say... Good bye....." He stands up, comes to the front of me, he uses all of his strength to pick me up, I hold onto him for dear life, he walks out of the room, down the stairs saying nothing, and out the front door and into the woods with me still in his hands, before he gets to the woods he says, "Wait here, I need to show you something." He gets far enough to the point of where I can't see him, and in thirty seconds he comes back out, but in wolf form, he cones close to me, he brushes the back of me, and he tells me, "Get on.".
after a while we get to a spot, in a wheat field, he gets back to his human form and he says, "You need to do this, for us, if you can't do this, you are worthless to anybody." I cry at the instant he said worthless to anybody, then he comes close to me, his eyes are wellng up with tears, he says, "I'm only doing this for your own good." and he raises a hand towards me, and slaps me, hard, I try to choke back the tears as he says these stinging words of pain, "You're worthless.". I get enraged, I say, "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TELLING ME I'M WORTHLESS, YOU'RE THE ONLY WORTHLESS ONE HERE WITHOUT A MATE AND YOU CAN'T EVEN TRY TO RESPECT HER, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?" I start to pant, my wolf inside starts to growl, I didn't even know I had a wolf, I hear Ryan's wolf growling and I see him smiling and I say, "WHAT ARE YOU SMILING ABOUT?" I feel a weird warm tingle go throughout my body, my hands are on the ground, I feel wind behind me as I wag my, my, TAIL! I jump and I prance around, I feel furry and my jaw feels so long, my teeth feel huge and sharp, I can smell everything, I can feel the earth shaking, I, I, I'm not worthless, "Indeed you're not worthless, do you still want to stay with me?" Ryan shook that out of him, I snap at him and I say, "No, I love you, and I hate you too, I don't know anymore, I'm leaving, but for good." He snaps, he says, "WHAT ABOUT ALL THOSE OTHER BOYS THEY'LL JUST COME AFTER YOU, YOU'LL HAVE TO SEE MORE DEATHS, I WANT YOU HERE, so you can be safe... Here with me......" I shake my head he tilts his head down and looks up at me, his wolf is cowering, and he says, "please, please stay... " I shake my head, I drop to the ground, I say, "no...... No.... NO! I REFUSE TO HAVE RO TELL ME WHO I SHOULD BE WITH, I'VE TRIED SO HARD, AND I JUST CAN'T, NO, I CAN'T EVER LOVE A MAN WHO EXEPTS WHO I AM, I LOST MY MOTHER FIVE YEARS AGO, AND SHE KNEW EXACTLY WHO I WAS, BUT YOU, GET AWAY FROM ME." He turns back into a human, he walks slowly towards me, he stops and he puts a hand on me, he brushes me slowly and says, "Whatever you need and want, you will get, even if it means that I have to leave you, as long as you're happy, I'm happy." I back up, my furry legs, my paws, I look at him, and I shed a tear, and I look behind me, back at him, then I run into the woods, crying.
