"so basically you woke me up from death to teach me how to behave?" scowled Erik, glaring at T'Challa.T'Challa gave him a side look, almost as to wonder why he resurrected him in the first place.
" look at me when I'm talking to you! King or no King, nigga you woke me up against my will!"
T'Challa hurled round to face Erik, clearly annoyed, " you have said you wanted to find peace, you can't do that if you're dead!" he proceeded to walk away, then muttered,"you were probably too busy screaming in hell."
They walked into the throne room and saw the elders of the tribes all gathered together around Queen Mother.
Erik sauntered in and the congregation gasped and whispered among themselves. He let a little smirk portray on his face, glancing at the elders who sat in circular structure chairs forming a semicircle, sitting all 'high and mighty' in their seats.
Not for long, he thought.
T'Challa raised his hand and immediately silence fell in the room.
"Now, I know you all know not the reason I have gathered you in this room today and why Prince N'Jadaka—"
"Erik." he interrupted and looked up from his feet, staring them all in the eyes, "my name is Erik. And I'm certainly not a Prince."
T'Challa growled in annoyance and then continued, "I have seen it fit that with give our Prince another chance." He elaborated on the words, then pointed across the elders, "and that you accommodate him and help him see the beauties of Wakanda and the world, rather than the horrors of it. I have left it to you because I believe you will all do a good job."
He finished and almost immediately uproar rose in the throne room.
"he murdered our people!"
"you expect us to trust him?!"
"look at him, he'll probably steal our belongings and impregnate our women!"
Erik grinned cheekily at that last one, that was probably exactly what he wanted to do.
"No." said one quietly. The chaos seized as they turned to look at the voice it belonged to.
They all turned to look at the River tribe leader. Nakia drew her eyebrows and glanced at her father in confusion, "father—" she began and he cut her off with the flick of a wrist.
Erik saw T'Challa clench his jaw, trying to ignore how her father had just dismissed to future Queen.
"No. Is what I said. My apologies King I don't think I was clear enough," he pointed to the other tribal leaders and their members standing behind them, then pointing to Erik, "he would do none of the sort. He has been resurrected, he wouldn't dare do such. And as a result, to almost test my theory, I'll take him in. I have the perfect accommodation spot for him. You see, because I've seen this before, the only difference being, one was raised with love."
He stopped and look at N'Jadaka, who suddenly felt very weak and uncomfortable standing in that one spot.
"Prince? Would you take my offer?"
And before N'Jadaka could comprehend, he heard a 'yes' flow out of his mouth.
