K H A N Y I S W A

NOW TO WAKE UP with your body aching is one thing. But to wake up with your body aching in N'Jadaka's bed, can only mean one thing.

Khanyiswa slowed pushed the silk bedsheets away from her, groaning as she did, to reveal her naked body which was covered in purple love bites, decorating her skin.

She limped downstairs, her core throbbing as she came to meet N'Jadaka sprawled out on the floor watching an American TV show. She carefully slid down next to her trying not to hurt herself.

"What exactly did we do? Were we playing-fighting or some shit because I'm in pain with massive love bites all over my body?" Khanyiswa glared at him as he stared straight ahead at the television.

"Nah, we fucked and I came in you and you wen' all ape-shit on me. Had to put you asleep." he said nonchalantly not looking at her once. Her eyes widened when he said this and she growled in frustration and slapped him. The attack took N'Jadaka by surprise and once she tried it again he caught her hand mid-way and pinned her down, straddling her.

"I was playin' Princess. Y'all Wakandan girls take shit too seriously." he pushed himself off of her and trudged towards the kitchen.

Khanyiwsa got up in a hurry and went after him, in which she seriously regretted as her sudden movement caused her pain. Nevertheless, she rushed and stood in front of him, blocking his entrance to the fridge.

"If you don't move your ass, imma throw you across the room." he threatened, edging closer.

"No, wait, I need to talk to you."

"If you want to fuck again, it's not gonna happen, I'm tired as shit, now move."

"I don't believe that we had sex."

"Oh great, so you want to have the 'morning after' talk-"

"No, N'Jadaka, listen. Forget what happened, that's not what's important, you're needed at the Palace."

He made a face, "Why?"

Khanyiswa shrugged and he rolled his eyes and went upstairs to change.

...

"PRINCE N'JADAKA, Khanyiswa. Welcome."

They stepped into the palace and was greeted by King T'Challa. Khanyiswa gave a nod of acknowledgement to the King and sent a wink to her adopted sister who suppressed a giggle.

Khan watched as N'Jadaka gave T'Challa a long and hard stare before he opened his mouth, addressing the person that and introduced them, "It's Erik and I'm not a Prince."

Khanyiswa mentally face-palmed herself and scolded herself for not teaching N'Jadaka how to address a King. She opened her mouth to apologize and the King gently shook his head, showing he had taken no offence.

"N'Jada- Erik." he corrected himself, the name feeling foreign in his mouth, "I understand you have been under the care of Khanyiswa for at least 4 months now. We  just wanted to check on you and see how you were doing."

The River Tribe leader stood afar off, watching the scene unfold.

"Oh, so what? You couldn't visit?" he asked rudely.
