The village was as busy as ever, with the solar eclipse festival coming up. Villagers were all hanging up lanterns, flags and decorations all sun and moon themed. Children happily skipping on the streets, humming songs and laughing. Mouthwatering aromas of al kinds of freshly baked goods (mostly cookies and cakes) circles the area. Houses were bright and fiery, and guards were walking around to make sure no chaos was arising. Truly a festive atmosphere hung, one could feel the excitement and anticipation of the upcoming celebration.

Jimin was standing on the outskirts of the village, hesitant to walk inside. What if he would be banished for being a terrible leader? What if all his citizens would hate him? What if-

"Jiminie, are you ready?" Yoongi gently squeezed his shoulder reassuringly. Jimin's heart fluttered at the endearing nickname but he was still anxious as hell. All the worst scenarios flooded his head and he couldn't stop worrying. "Don't worry. Everything will be alright." He nodded trying to believe it. However, his heartbeat still betrayed him at Namjoon's words,
"Ok, it's time. Everyone head out!"

The group of 7 walked proudly on to the main theatre stage, were all the major announcements and shows took place. They stood there patiently, seeing the crowd that grew before them. Some angry faces, some scared and mostly just curious. The creatures wanted answers. And Jimin only grew more anxious to give any. But it had to be done. The fairy noticed approaching guards and more citizens swarming in from the corner of his vision. He took a few breath and stepped out to the middle.
Disapproving and sad glances thrown at him almost made him faulted, but he was determined to clear his and Yoongi's name. All for his love. With a shaky voice he began.

"Dear citizens. I know that you might be disappointed in me as your leader. I was foolish for running away and not protecting what was precious to me." Murmurs arose in the audience which made him gulp, but he continued. "This man, the one you see right here is a human." He pointed at Yoongi, eyes still on the creatures' faces. "He is a human, with whom I fell in love."

Gasps and intensified whispers somehow gave Jimin more confidence. "I am perfectly aware that coming into contact with humans is forbidden, and I am ready to take the according punishment."

The noise died down to almost silence. The atmosphere was really strange at the moment. Almost liberating.

"However." The blond fairy raised his voice. "I do not see a necessity to be punished for pure feelings. Especially those who involve only the two individuals. The law exists for a reason. It does, I have nothing to say against it. I am a fairy who lived my entire life by struck rules and respect for them, who protect and guide us to a safe survival in this harsh world."

"This person, he showed me how beautiful life can really be. We explored the depths of our emotions, not only romantic but those of friendship. With just his presence, the world become brighter, a more meaningful place."

"It gave me a reason to wake up hopeful each day, thinking - I can't wait to see him today. See him laugh, his smile. Hear his voice and look into his eyes. He was a missing part to my happiness. And if you take him away, my life will never be the same. Though I am eternally grateful that I met him."

Jimin breathed in. He turned back to look at the aforementioned person. Yoongi was looking right at him in awe. Eyes showing a deep appreciation that is practically indescribable. An immeasurable feeling of love and gratitude. With the confirmation that he needed, Jimin returned to the main point.

"Now,

My dear citizens, whom I have served hard and right all my 2 years. Who has lived by the law and raised by order my 20 years of life.

Answer me.

Don't you think, the law wants equal opportunity? Equal rights and equal judgement? Here, where in return for a skill we fulfil a request. A giving and forgiving place. Us faerie people are born to love.

So am I, or am I not allowed to love, myself? Even, if the one who receives my love does not fit the right criteria?" Tears were forming and rolling down the blonde's face. He talked so full of passion, meaning every single word from the bottom of his heart.

"Why must we be so cruel, punishing the innocent, caught in the trap of love."

He looked around the crowd. All were silent.

"How are we different from beasts, who selfishly take what's theirs, who act on impulse, out of emotion?

All I am asking from you, is to say. Do I, or do I not have a right to love? Even though, he is a mortal?"

The bright, midday sun highlighted the streaks of his hair. The glistening paths of his tears, and the sheer determination and faith.

Any communist jokes? Because I did reference the essence of communism, what it originally was supposed to be - from each according to the ability to each according to need. And while the idea was admirable, the implementation and selfishness wasn't.

How did this turn into politics again?
Anyway, hope you enjoyed the chapter, I don't edit it because I'm high on emotions.

Hope it's not cringey, please tell me what you think💕
