Yoongi shifts in bed in reaction to the light tap on his left shoulder.
Tap-
"Please stop, I'm getting up soon," he grumbled, eyes still closed. Then he heard chuckles and realised that is not how his grandmother's voice sounds like. He fluttered one eye open.
"Taehyung!" He exclaimed, joy in his voice as he stood up from his bed to hug the younger boy. "When did you get here?" He was extremely excited to see his best friend from uni. "My flight was late at night, and the train ride took a few hours so I'm a bit tired. But look at how convenient I came, just in time for your awakening," the brown-haired boy joked, overjoyed to see his hyung. They laughed and the younger pulled Yoongi into a tight hug again. Taehyung closed his eyes contently and buried his nose in his friend's hair, inhaling the floral shampoo scent.
"I missed you, hyung." He mumbled, "It's so gray in Seoul without you." "Awe, I missed you too," the blue haired chuckled and ruffled his hair, which looked funny with the height difference but no one minded. "You know what will make your stay less gray?" Taehyung lit up, you could almost see a wildly wagging tail appear. "No?" "Firstly a filling breakfast. Let's go!" Yoongi motioned over downstairs and they followed the heavenly aroma of freshly made French toast and berries, kindly prepared by grandmother.
After breakfast Taehyung insisted for Yoongi to show him around, saying that he wanted to see how has the older possibly survived half the summer here. The blue haired enthusiastically did so, babbling non stop about the places he loved. He also mentioned Jimin as a friend he made and that he hung out with, keeping his identity a secret of course.
"Ooh! This is the place Jimin showed me when I was incredibly upset over a fight with my grandparents. Don't you agree it's so soothing?" Yoongi spoke with a childish excitement. The place was indeed stunning: a small 'patch' of land free from trees in a forest, with two colourful uneven benches (if you could call it that) standing right at the cute trail leading into the forest. It was cozy and secluded, soothing bee buzzing and the rustling of trees heard nearby. Taehyung frowned however. Yea, all the scenery that the older showed him was gorgeous, but all he's been talking about was that Jimin dude. Needless to say he was feeling jealous.
Though the older did not seem to stop. He talked and talked until the brown-haired couldn't hold it in anymore, "Do you like him, hyung?" He was upset and irritated. Yoongi stiffened. "Why do you think that?" "I came here to spend time with you, yet all you're doing is talking about a guy I've never seen. Nonstop," Taehyung sighed, "Can you please concentrate only on me for the time being?" He looked at the blue-haired with sad eyes, making the latter feel guilty. "I'm sorry Tae. I got too carried away and didn't consider your feelings," Yoongi replied softly, offering a smile. "Now, have you ever tried gooseberries? I know a place with tons of gooseberry shrubs and it should be the time when they're fully ripe. I have a feeling you'll like them" He took the latter's hand and pulled him behind. "Let's go!"
They made it to the berries and the older attacked it instantly. Taehyung looked at him in amusement. It's been a while that he's seen his hyung so alive and well, instead of walking around like a 90 year old who's lost his will to live. He then diverted his attention to the branch closest to him. He plucked the darkest little berry and eyed it sceptically. He saw in his peripheral vision how Yoongi stopped eating and patiently awaited his reaction. He then plopped it in his mouth, surprised at the sudden burst as he bit into it, flavours coating his tongue.
"So? They're similar to the sour candy with the explosive center you always rant about. Good right?" The older chuckled and resumed stuffing his mouth. Tae laughed in reply. "That's right! They're really good, I'm flattered you remember!" "Of course," Yoongi winked and Tae's heart rate sped up. This gesture and thoughtfulness reminded him why he loved his hyung. How he's actually really attentive and kind.
Following along the good atmosphere they had right now, he wondered if he should finally do it. He tried confessing multiple times before, but always seemed to chicken out. Now his heart swelled with adoration for the older, seeing him finally being happy and enjoying life with that adorable gummy smile of his. He brushed his hands on his jeans, wiping the sweat from the nervousness he was feeling, deciding fuck it, here it goes.
"Hyung!" He called, making his way to the unsuspecting older. The latter lifted his head. "Yea-" He got cut off by Tae cupping his face gently and pressing his lips against his. His eyes widened in shock, but he did not push him away. He simply could not comprehend why his best friend of a few years was kissing him, so he just stood there. Finally, Taehyung pulled away from Yoongi and smiled sheepishly.
"I really like you, hyung. I have for a long time. Will you accept me?" He stared into the latter's dark orbs, determination in his eyes. The blue haired, however, was genuinely caught off guard. He had no idea his best friend held such deep feelings for him. It was all so sudden, his brain just shut down. "I.. I, what?"
So surprised, in fact, that he didn't notice a certain blonde drop a package and run away before he's seen.
I AM SO SORRY FOR MY DISAPPEARANCE, ILL MAKE IT UP SOMEHOW!
Tae's finally made an appearance, but not one you've been waiting for :p Also if anyone doesn't know what's a gooseberry, it's the picture above. They're really good, you all should try it once.

This summer, just like many of my summers, is uneventful and boring. It's SO HOT and my friends are away:( I actually miss school, cause it's still a social environment we're forced to be in. I don't start it till 7th September though.
Anyone know the feeling when you're so bored you feel like crying? Me rn. Anyone also bored feel free to dm me, lets have a nice chat about our boring summers:D No but really, I 'd love to talk.
