The photo above is a Siberian forest.. guys 😍
Finally, the day of the festival has come. The sun was setting, lanterns were being lit up, the inhabitants were walking around with huge smiles on their faces. Jimin could feel the excitement bubbling up indeed him. This was the 3rd year that he was going to place the crystal sceptre on the highest point of their village.
The moon, when in the optimal position, will shine right through the sceptre and send beams of light everywhere in its path. Then fireworks would set off, turning the sky and the area into a colourful celebration. Yep, he definitely couldn't wait. In just three hours...
Lost in his day, or rather, evening dream, the fairy didn't notice how he was pulled from the middle of the street to behind a house and pushed against a wall. He blinked, realising that he was staring into the eyes of Yoongi.
"Hey babe," he kissed him on the lips before showing his gummy smile. "I see that you're in a great mood, you're beaming." He mumbled, followed by a kiss on the cheek. Jimin blushed at the affection and pet name.
"I am indeed. You already know that I'll be placing the sceptre, it's a huge honour. I'm stoked!""Well, I'll be cheering you on from the audience."
"Yea.. right! It's your first time watching this! Oh my god, it'll be amazing. Especially when the fireworks-"
"Alright, okay." The blue-haired interrupted the excited boy, "I want to see it for myself. Don't spoil it."
Jimin blushed at Yoongi's words and nodded.
"Good." The latter smiled and ruffled his hair affectionately."Let's go now, sir F.. Forgot.. dang it, I know that his name had 'forgot' in it, but I can't remember exactly.." Yoongi scrunched his eyebrows at the blonde's giggles.
"Do you mean, Sir Forget-me-not?"
"Yea, that one! Wow, how ironic." He mumbled, followed by more of Jimin's giggles.
"Anyway, he called you to revise the shows orders or something. He told me he would be waiting in his office."
"Okay, I'll go do that then, see you at the celebration! Don't get bored, find Tae or the guys, they should be around." And with a final peck he flew off.Yoongi smirked to himself and entered the bright and busy bystreet. Rows upon rows of little flags with moons on them were hanging off the roofs, creating tunnels of pure joy. Stickers of moons were decorating the window panes, moon wreaths were hung on each and every door, even flower pots had little moons (on sticks?) shoved in them. This village was a little too obsessed with this celebration. Maybe this was their Christmas, or New Years.
What ever it was, Yoongi enjoyed gazing at how festive the place looked, excited faces and little children running around last minute.
After some strolling he decided to indeed, meet up with the others and headed over to Hoseok's, where they usually were gathered.
When he arrived, he was a little surprised that the door was opened by Jin. Even more so intrigued, that the older brought a finger to his lips, telling him to be quiet. He realised why when he came in.On the couch lay two boys with slightly disheveled hair, hugging each other close. He guessed that they were sleeping, but thank GOD they still had their clothes on. He tiptoed closer and was not really shocked to see that the boys were Hoseok and Taehyung, after all, everything was leading up to this. They both had slightly red and swollen lips. Smirking, Yoongi made a mental note to tease Tae about it later. Who would've guessed that he's a little spoon?
"Are they together?" He whispered, turning to the older. The other shrugged and that was that. Namjoon, Jungkook sat at the table playing cards, motioning at Yoongi to come and join them. The game was fun, except for the fact that Yoongi lost every single round. A lot of "hushed" screaming, elbow shoving and three bent cards later, festive horns were heard from the outside.
The three fairies immediately perked up, Jungkook rushed to wake up the peacefully sleeping pair shouting
"It's time! Let's go! The celebration is starting!"
After all of them successfully made it to the open theatre, the blue haired was starting to get giddy as well, the buzzed atmosphere finally getting to him. After some minutes of gazing around, the lights all dimmed, and out came a host (at least that's what Yoongi presumed) in a gorgeous orange dress. The creature had a mushroom-like hat on, reminding him of a chanterelle. She proceeded to speak in a honey like voice, welcoming the guests on the celebration and announcing the program, each sentence erupting a cheer from the crowd. The performances were outstanding, the blue-haired had no idea that this grand scheme of acts were even being prepared. He stood there in awe with his mouth slightly hanging and he watched the dancers, who ruffled their skirts teasingly and spun synchronised, forming shapes and becoming a flower at the end; the small act of a lonely star and the moon falling in love (that one brought to tears many of the audience members, Yoongi and Taehyung included); and a choir of wisps, their voices lulling everyone into serenity. The show was truly out of this world.
Still in shock from what Yoongi had just saw, his ears barely missed the lovely host announcing Jimin with the sceptre. He jerked his head to the edge of the stage where he presumed that Jimin would arrive from. And after a few minutes of anticipation, his breath got stuck in his throat.
Jimin came out in a black glittery suit which was a sight to behold, given that Yoongi ever only saw him in greens and browns. Not that the colours didn't suit him, but the figure hugging sparkling material did him hella justice. Not only that, his hair was a silver blonde colour, slicked back to reveal his slight eye makeup. Where did fairies manage to get it in the woods he did not know, and he didn't care. Jimin looked drop dead gorgeous and that was the only thing that was important.
Well, the sceptre was fine too. A silver coil handle with the branches spiralling up, entangling a wooden core. A few 'stray' strands poking out, mimicking branches of a tree, the ends grasping a precious stones of some sort. The tip of the spectre had the silver strands forming a neat nest, pillowing a giant diamond. A beautiful tool for a beautiful man. He truly looked like royalty carrying the sceptre, approaching the velvet stand with an indent. He watched with his heart racing as Jimin carefully inserted the handle into the hole (a/n don't) and came to the centre of the stage.
Jimin spoke about how special the ceremony was to him, motioning his hands in excitement. Yoongi didn't pay attention to the words combing out of his mouth though, but rather, the mouth itself. He watched the lips move, smile and the tongue poking out to wet them every now and then. He scanned his entire body, still shocked at how ethereal he looked. The spotlight causing the glitters on his suit to reflect some light on his face, looking hot, and adorable- he couldn't decide. His wings fluttered, depending on how nervous he was, also glittery and very regal. Soon he ended the speech and locked his gaze with Yoongi.
If he didn't want to faint before, he sure wanted to do so now. And honestly, he wondered how he hasn't already. The fairy walked away and the host came in one last time, announcing the last part of the event, which was the eclipse and the fireworks. Although truly amazed at the grande scheme of this celebration, he tensed. He heard some strange noise, but couldn't point it out exactly. An unsettling feeling made way in his gut, but he brushed it off. Instead, he watched a beam of the moon gliding along the stage, disappearing as it took the exact position to turn into a ring of light in the black of the night sky.
This was it, the eclipse. The crowd was silent, and he couldn't blame them. Yoongi glanced sideways to notice his friends staring in complete wonder and awe. However, as all beautiful things in life, the moment went by too quickly. The ray becoming bigger again and at a certain angle, flashing through the diamond, creating a ray of silver-blue light as well as erupting many gasps and claps. Soon after loud bangs were heard and the sky transformed into a painting. Rainbow swirls, sparks and trails filled the black abyss. Fireworks were being set off.
He suddenly felt two arms grabbing his shoulders, turning him around grabbing him close. When his eyes adjusted, he saw Jimin, in all his beautiful glory. Unable to stop himself he grabbed the fairy's check and gently locked lips with him, feeling the other reciprocate hesitantly. Pulling away, confused, he asked.
"What's wrong Jimin? Aren't you enjoying the show?" His eyes sparkled at the recent events, "I haven't seen anything that spectacular in my entire life!"
Jimin gave a meek smile though it did not last long. He spoke quietly,"Yoongi.. it's your grandparents. I heard them calling for you in the forest and they didn't look very calm.."
Welp, Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Holidays! 🤠🥳
