The outside world looked so dull from inside of the café, the only thing that could truly be seen was the rain and how dark it really was. Of course, this had to be the day when I had forgotten to check how the weather would have been later in case, I needed to bring an umbrella with me to work. There is no way I could walk home in this rain for so long without ending up ill myself. Just great. I was wrong, I had no coat and especially no umbrella with me today. Sydney would usually leave an umbrella here, but she had also forgotten her own and decided to take it assuming I had mine. I was stranded here – unless I wanted to wait until the rain would stop later. Who even really knew when that would happen though? I sighed quietly and walked towards the backroom, where I had left my few things that I bothered to bring to the café.
The bell rang from the front, and I had to turn around to tell the people that were coming through the door that we were in fact closing. The three people that stood there were absolutely soaked in rain, their clothing practically transparent at this point. "I'm sorry but we're closed." They began to mumble between one another, clearly debating if they were going to leave or not. I hoped they would, I could close and just watch movies into the office until the rain slowed down enough that I could walk back home without having too much rain damage happen. The three of them turned to look back at me again, they were intimidating for sure, tall and slender with the smallest hints of masculinity. Of course, there was so much masculinity, just look at the tree of them stood there like they owned the place.
I swear that all three of them looked so familiar to people that I have seen before somewhere, but I could not really be too sure about it. "I'm sorry, we all thought that it was still open because all of the lights were still on, don't worry about it. Thanks for letting us know?" The one in the front middle smiled, it warmed my chest to look at the dashing smile. Who was he? I sighed and realised that I would just end up feeling so much worse if they all went outside into that cold and got ill from the pouring rain. It is not really the nicest thing to do, to be completely honest. "Follow me to the tables please," I walked over to one of the booths and they followed suit, sliding onto the seats. "Are you guys hungry at all? If you are, I can go to the back and make you something until the rain calms down."
They nodded and took the menus from the middle of the table and began to scan through it. The guy who had been originally standing in the middle of the threes charm was intoxicating, and I could not help but keep trying to remember who he had been and why I think that I know him so much, because we have both never crossed paths before. My memory continued to fall me repeatedly. I had no idea who these three guys were, and it was annoying me much more than I would like to admit. Come on Meira, get yourself together. They are just a trio of guys who had come in wanting shelter from the harsh rain that was outside of the café. It was no Biggy. I slowly brought out my small, blue notebook that I brought with me every single day for taking orders. It was like a ritual that I had to do just to make sure that I never lost it. Everyone else's notebooks were green, just to go with the café's colours.
"I'll have some spicy pork, please." The tallest said. "Please can I have a margherita pizza?" The next one said. Finally, the first figure I had spotted when I first saw them come in spoke up. His voice was husky and attractive, "May I please have some kalguksu?" he looked up at me seemingly staring into my very soul as the background melted away. If it was only us two there, then it would have been quite intimidating. I nodded and quickly wrote down all their orders and went straight back into the kitchen, everyone had already gone home so it was just me and the three men out in the actual diner part of the café. The café was supposed to be long closed by now, but here I was serving people as if I did it every single day.
